Alright, I've decided that we really need to get something started. I don't have anything fully fleshed-out yet, but I plan on a free-form fantasy RP with somewhat over-the-top powers and characters(see any action anime ever). Basically, your character can be anything you want, be it human, elf, tauren, jabberwock, or mutant butterfly monkey with embedded chicken DNA.

I am excited at the prospect.
Let's start coming up with exciting plot ideas!
Is it more medieval? Or more super-futury?
Or maybe there's time travel, and it really doesn't matter because we can do cool time swapping things anyway.

Ok, first, don't let desperation take control of you. No crazy mutanty races that could lead to RPing disaster. Seriously.

Or maybe there's time travel, and it really doesn't matter because we can do cool time swapping things anyway. I was thinking sort of FF6 MagiTech/steampunk sort of world, but that was just the first thing to come to mind. Ok, first, don't let desperation take control of you. No crazy mutanty races that could lead to RPing disaster. Seriously. I'm pretty sure everyone here is mature enough to handle such loose restrictions. Of course, if someone actually does try to be a mutant butterfly monkey with embedded chicken DNA, I'll just have to punch them in the face. Through the internet. I'll just stick my hand through the internet tubes and sock them.

Kinda like heroscape, I don't know much (Anything) about it, but I unloaded them when I worked at target. It had like, Samurai fighting WWII soldiers fighting Dragons fighting futuristic power armor dudes fighting aliens. I have plenty ideas for RPGs, I've actually been writing a lot of them recently, so I think I have it in me to start RPing again. Although I always prefer more structured RPGs, I think starting with anything that works is the best place to start. Then slowly move back into what we used to have. I want to be.... hmmm.... so many ideas. I want to be a robot pilot, I think. Unless we decide on a timeline. If its medieval fantasy, I think I am going to be a Scythe wielding Mage/Knight. Or maybe a steampunk robot pilot. But yeah. Robot Pilot. I've been in a huge Gundam fling. not a giant robot, well, maybe a giant robot if its not overpowered (depends on what we're fighting against), but a like 9ft tall robot. What weapons/capabilities it has depends on what timeline idea we're using. My character himself will have next-to-no battle strength to speak of, he's a mechanical genius and not a fighter, and outside of his suit he's totally vulnerable. [Edit] I didn't see the FF6/magitek style universe comment. If we stick with that, then yeah, steampunk robot pilot. I'm so psyched for this, I hope it gets started up.

haha! I saw those commercials. I kinda liked that concept of heroscape. You know, that would make for a really awesome painting.

Anyone who wants to join, just come up with a character and post it. I'll be GMing, so I guess I'll make a basic character sheet.
Name: Age: Race: Class: Equipment: Bio: Morality/philosophy: Notable abilities/skills:

Ok! I am going to do a separate entry for each of his vehicles as well! I hope this doesn't end up being too long, and as always, I'll change anything that needs to be changed.
Name: Will Age: 24 Race: Human Class: Engineer
Equipment: Wrench: Although meant for work, his favorite is big enough to be used as a weapon, and he wields it as such frequently. Rifle: He has an automatic rifle, although without any superhuman skills, he is easily outclassed by many other fighters. He often chooses not to use it, as he finds his opponents can easily dodge. However, it is reliable, and has served Will well through all of his adventures. Experimental Weapons: Will is always trying to find a new weapon to protect himself with, and is rarely seen fighting with the same weapon twice. His most recent works are a rocket launching weapon, and a heavier automatic cannon, both of which are as-yet untested. He also comes up with smaller devices, such as grenades of various sorts and machines to help him in battle.
Bio: Hailing from Mecharyne, a city of of technology, inventors, and engineers, Will has always shown that he's above the grade in his chosen profession. Though he is vulnerable in a world of powerful heroes and villains, he has always been able to out-smart, and out-build, every challenge that has come his way. The devices and machines he build are more advanced then most other contemporary technology, and he has been traveling to further his skills even more. He survives by selling his advanced technology, though he keeps it's inner workings secret. He travels the lands in his truck-like Land Carrier, which holds his workshop, inventions, and Battle Suit. Morality/philosophy: In the past, Will has only had to look out for himself. He travels well with others, though he has only fallen in with the 'bad crowd' thus far. Because of this, he has no close friends or partners. He is energetic, though mature, and although he usually fights for himself, he is very much on the side of good. Notable abilities/skills: In battle, Will is vulnerable when separated from his weapons, and always prefers to fight in his Battlesuit. His custom-built assault rifle is easily dodged by nimble opponents, and more hardy opponents can withstand even repeated blasts. He has a number of advanced weapons he is working on, including a "rocket launcher" and "Gatling cannon", although none of them have been tested in battle as of yet. Will is a prodigy when it comes to machinework, and can understand the inner workings of most lesser machines at glance. His ability to build many machines also gives him a reasonable source of income, though he is far from rich. He is an inventor and thinker all the way.
Name: Cobra's Fang Age: 3 years Race: Machine Class: Heavy Battle Suit
Equipment: Heavy Automatic Rifle: Built for his battle suit, this is a scaled-up and improved version of Will's assault rifle. Hard-Points: When designing the cobra's fang, Will thought ahead and included a number of "modular hard-points", onto which additional secondary weapons could be mounted. Melee: The suit several times stronger then a normal human, stands about 9ft tall, and weighs at almost 50,000lbs (That of a present-day bus), due not to its size, but thick armor and stocky build. This may make it slow, but it is able to deliver powerful punches and slams with its body. It's legs are not easily capable of kicks.
Bio: Three years ago, Will had finally finished his longest-running project. Scraping his former, mass-produced Battle Suit, he incorporated all of his advanced technology and resources into a single, heavy-type Mobile Battle Armor. In addition, he made an automatic rifle for it to carry and fight with. It is slow in a fight, but carries a lot of power. As well as the automatic rifle, he developed a heavy 90mm autoloading cannon and a six-socket Explosive Shell launcher, to be mounted in the shoulder-hardpoints. They have thus far been scarcely used, as either unit slows the suit to a crawl (equipping both at once runs the risk of damaging the suits superstructure). Will has used the machine extensively in the three years he's had it, is a veteran of numerous battles, and has been frequently upgrading and repairing it within that timespan. Morality/philosophy: N/A Notable abilities/skills: Its automatic rifle is much stronger then Will's hand-held variety, but fires slower and is still easy for nimble opponents to dodge. Its 90mm cannon and six-tube rocket launcher are heavy, area-of-effect attacks, but with these equipped the suit's already slow speed is even further hampered, making them specialty weapons, which Will uses only when needed. Its primary weapon is its own strength and weight, engaging opponents in hand-to-hand combat. Even for a battle suit, it has extremely thick armor, and is able to withstand numerous heavy attacks, even those supernatural or arcane in origin. Its cockpit is fully within the machine, and no part of the pilot is exposed. Electric-based attacks can damage numerous of its internal functions, however, specifically its carefully-aligned sighting equipment.
Name: Kukuruznik ("Little Hayseed"). Many nicknames, few of which are positive. Age: Unknown, beyond twenty years Race: Machine Class: Heavy Land Carrier
Equipment: Cargo Bays: The Little Hayseed has a large cargo bay, which Will uses to hold his Battlesuit and its equipment. It is spacious enough to hold extra cargo as well, and Will has used it to make money as a long-distance delivery truck.
Bio: The Kukuruznik (Which translates to "Little Hayseed", a sarcastic name based on its size) is Will's base of operations. It is the size of a small house, and can move (on open, flat, hard terrain) at about 20mph. Other then its thick armor, it has no strength of any sort in battle. It is large enough to contain a workshop for Will to work in, as well as a cargo bay to house his Battlesuit, its equipment, and anything else Will is traveling in. Will inherited it from his family. He is often regretting this, as the machine has a less-then-stellar work record. So far, however, its always gotten him where he needs to go, even though Will finds he fights some of his hardest battles not in his battlesuit, but in the Kukuruznik's engine housing. It looks something like a modern-day tank, although without any weapons. Morality/philosophy: N/A Notable abilities/skills: In addition to the ability to breakdown for any reason, it is highly resistant to repairs.
(A note: The big truck thing can be removed or changed. Its something for him to invent in, because a part of his character I wanted was that he is always using a new weapon or different invention every battle, not all of which work. As well, he expands upon previous equipment. So I thought I would include a place for him to do all of this work. Also, I didn't really want him walking all over the place in his battle suit, so he needed a place to keep it, and having him tied to a building wouldn't work very well. It could also serve as a "base of operations" of sorts for the group, somewhere everyone can keep their stuff, a sort of mobile camp, and an excuse as to why our characters might find lots of phat lewt, but don't get overburdened.
If it goes against whatever we end up planning, we can remove it. In addition, I originally had it planned as an airship, but figured that might mess things up. But if the flavor of our adventures is to be global, we can turn it to a flying machine, or maybe a boat, or whatever's appropriate.)

I'm leaning towards an Alchemist in the Fullmetal sense. I think it would make a neat compliment to Will's character. Tonight I'll go ahead and flesh it out more.

Ok, just don't forget guys, I'm totally psyched to RP anything, and though I don't know what Jalathas has planned, I'm really liking the images I am getting in my head for how this RPG will turn out.

Finally an excuse to make a char sheet for my Jester!
Name: Egakino Age: 25 Race: Human Class: Entertainer/Illusionist Job: Jester (just thought it could use this category)
Equipment: Costumes: Usually wears the Jester outfit. Has several others and somehow has the ability to pull out the right one for any occasion. Mostly for onstage performances. Can come in handy as disguises. Juggling balls: Not only for juggling, these innocent looking multicolored balls also come in the smoke and flash variety. Also has ones that explode like firecrackers but he rarely uses them to hurt others. All mostly for onstage performances. Come in handy as distractions. Puppets: Has several, but most notably, a shark one. Hand and string variety. Magically enchanted to be able to manipulate the weak minded. Flute: A small one he carries with him. Can play a great tune. Its also magically enchanted to put others to sleep when he chooses. Giant Rolling Ball: His preferred method of travel. It’s a giant multicolored ball that he balances on top of. Magically enchanted to roll faster than physically normal when traveling to other locations. Its also secretly a very large grenade and therefore Egakino’s strongest weapon (but ONLY for emergencies, especially since its only one). Used mostly for onstage performances and has yet to make it go boom.
Bio: Egakino didn’t have much in the ways of childhood. He never knew his parents and he grew up in an orphanage. One day when he was a kid, the circus made a stop at his town, it was one of the best days of his life. Ever since then he had aspirations to join. Then one day when he was 15 he ran away from the orphanage and did. While in the circus he had a wealth of opportunities to train under the several master artists within its troupe. He learned the secrets of elemental reactions from a chemist, magic from mages and wizards, series of illusions from magicians, clowning from the jesters, and how to play the musical instruments from musicians. All while being a part of their crowd stopping shows. He got to see several places of the world and saw many wondrous things. He even had a fling with the sword-swallowing girl along the way. Since he didn’t have much of a childhood, he vowed that he would make the world a brighter place for others and refuse to leave a sad child wherever went. Personality wise he’s rather goofy and fools around a lot. Nothing makes him happier than putting a smile on every face in the audience. He also enjoys entertaining kids and has a knack for it.
Morality/philosophy: Egakino is more of a pacifist than anything else. He would rather stay away from conflict, but don’t think of him as a coward, he just doesn’t like violence. He will however stand for the right thing when necessary (like saving a child or stopping thieves, etc). He does have a high morality rating as well. Although he is a free spirit, he knows what is right and what is wrong. He has more of a positive view on life. D&D alignment wise u could say he’s borderline neutral good, “doing good for goodness’ sake” and chaotic good since he still likes doing his own thing.
Notable abilities/skills: -- High Agility and Acrobatic skill -- Entertainment skill - With his experience as an entertainer, he can make any crowd happy -- Costumes – the right disguise can fool any minimum wage security -- Juggling balls – these disguised smoke and flash bombs are great for distracting opponents to make a quick getaway -- Puppets – manipulation of the weak minded can always come in handy -- Inventive – makes all his trinkets and toys (the flash bombs, costumes, etc. Can also make real toys too) -- Not very strong. Relies heavily on illusions and distractions to fool opponents. -- Music – expert with the violin, clarinet, and flute. Hey who couldn’t use a relaxing tune? Flute is magically enchanted to put others to sleep
((by the way, his name, Egakino, is the reverse spelling of Onikage, which is appropriate since they’re almost the exact opposites))

If you guys manage to make a way to piece these together well enough, then I'll give it a go. But as of now, I'm still not feeling that it'll meld easily.
If I do join up, would everyone prefer that my character be female? Best to let me know now so I can try to imagine this guy I've been forming in my head as a girl instead.
