Of course they have nukes. Plenty of them...
Eh. Mark my words, the world will end within 20 years. At least nuclear extinction is somewhat more exciting then slow environmental degradation...
I'm still hoping for zombie apocalypse/alien invasion though.

I'm hoping that none of the above happen while I'm still alive. Especially since one nuke wouldn't take out the whole world. I don't want to be seeing the carnage on the news, really don't.

Yeah but the problem with nukes is you generally launch more than one. You know, the US sends 50, so Russia sends 100, so Britain send 200, etc

I wish there were no nukes. Also, I have two things going through my head. The first is the end of the world flash cartoon. The second is this: "Only two things scare me, and one of them is nuclear war." "What's the other?" "Excuse me?" "What's the other thing that scares you." "Carnies. Circus folk. Nomads, you know. Smell like cabbage. Small hands." I love that movie. ;D

A preemptive grounding? That's pretty intense. I've gotta write this stuff down for when I have kids. First, about the grounding thing. I lied a little bit. They actually said it was because they want to wait until they see my first quarter grades before I'm allowed to use the computer during the week, since I had a D in Math at the end of last year and they think the computer distracts me. The problem is, of course, that I can finish my homework in an hour or less every night, so the reasr of my time is spent bored. I actually find that vaguely amusing, but that's mostly because I saw Dr. Strangelove for the first time yesterday.

I've never seen it? What genre movie is it? Comedy? Action? Both?

It's parody/comedy, starring Peter Sellers in three roles.

I do love parody/comedies. I saw it on on-demand. I'll have to check it out at Will's house. Hmmm...

I might be more inclined to find that cool if I knew that the kind of things they could do with it would be beneficial to humanity somehow. It kind of got me a little worried when it said that the military could use it for stuff, because I'd rather not have super powerful weapons in the world, though I know that may not be how world governments feel. But if it could be put to some good use, then I'd find it cooler. I guess I just want to see some beneficial things that could come from it. Like if they really could use it for energy purposes, that's awesome. Lord knows we need another energy source at some point.

It states a few uses in the article, but, sometimes you don't know what you can do, till you find out.
The quest for knowledge! That's reason enough in my opinion.
