Tassatul comes running up to the Master Mage. The look on his face is one of 'oh crap theres a thing following me' mixed with 'oh crap, Kaluth is going to kill me'. So, he stops. 10 feet in-front of him is master mage Kaluth, 10 feet behind is the re-animated beast.
He does a little dance, first step foward, then backward, then foward, then he turn to confront the beast, then he turns to his master, then do a little step to the left and then back, then he stops again. Tass notices that the beast is now 5 feet from him, so he takes a few lumbering steps towards his master. Then he does a complete spin and dashes into the tent.
Kaluth raises his hands and begins a small shield incantation, one that he would normally use for himself, but now hes aiming it towards the beast.
His fingers glow with magical power as he inscribes magical runes in the air.
Kaluth: "Dunloak taricsh ra-mulick incartarlius!"
With the final syllables of the incantation, the magical runes glow in a spike of power and then drift toward the beast and form a wire-frame shield around it. The wires then spread and fade away.
Not knowing what do to, the beast keeps walking, and runs into a magical barrier that permits him to go no further.
Kaluth: "Tassatul, come here...now."
(ooc- Tass, is this powerplaying with ur chacter too much? If it is just tell me. I wont do it again)

(hey, do you guys already have a plan to meet up with us, or is that still hazy? because we could bump into eachother right here. you guys are in a forest and we just left the town so i guess were in a forest or something. or do you guys still have stuff you need to do before we meet?)

(ooc: Nah, Dan, I don't mind if you use my character a little, itd be kinda hard not to in such situations. Minor stuff is okay, but make sure Tass isn't making any big desisions or actions when you power play.
Katt, I don't think we have any plans about how we meet up, most of our stuff occurs way far away in the story. I suppose you could see the commontion or something and come to investigate. Hafta check with Dan. . .)
*Tass timidly exits the tent, watching for the beast. Kaluth has already detained it and is looking sternly at Tass.*
'Well, uhh, I couldn't sleep. . .so I took a walk and, well, I saw this beast, and decided to revive him.
*In a more excited voice*
'I did it! I really brought that large animal back to life! But, then well, I didn't really. . . have . . . control. . .'
*Tass drops his head expecting a reprimand and punishment from Kaluth*

Katt: oh yea, dont be afraid of me or anything becaus i stole from you, nothing personal really. could have been anyone, i guess you were just unlucky that night. so dont worry about me, i dont bite  so whats you name anyway? is it Sparky? because you have a spot over your eye that makes you look like a puppy. is that a big freckle or what? oh wait a minute... am i being rude? im sorry, err... im Katrina, and this is Will. you can just call me Katt though, its easier. |

*Cobra is nervosly eyeing a city guard, who is handing out wanted posters.*
Will: "Well, uh, you seem ot be uh... very eager to leave so uh... let's go! um..."
*Cobra knows someone is going to ask "where" so he practically inturupts himself*
Will: "Over there! Yes... um... in to the woods! Where we can better plan our next... move."

(ooc: Katt, dont worry, I have a plan for Tass and I to meet up with you. We happen to be walking by the town to get to the High Mage Council. That was the town I was reffereing to in one of my past posts, the "dont enter that town, make Tass suffer a little" post? So dont worry about it.)
Master Kaluth stares coldly at Tass. He was astonished that Tass mustered up enough courage to pull this on his own, knowing well the wrath of Kaluth. Or maybe...he didn't know well enough the wrath of kaluth....
Kaluth: "WHAT IS THIS?" he hisses. "You are a fool! You dream of mastering the dead when you cant even master the newly perished! His soul probably wasnt even half way to hell!"
Kaluth raises his staff and points it at Tass. The spidery tounge of magic reciting a spell that Tass knew was aimed directly at him. With one hand, the arcaine rune was inscribed in the air. Then, as if out of nowhere (as is common with magic) golden bands of energy formed around Tasses wrists and ankels. Each band appearing quickly after the other and each making a silent whisper of a "swoosh" sound as it formes. He tried to struggle, but could not break the magical force.
Kaluth raised his staff, and Tass felt himself rising. The bands pulling him higher. Five...ten...fifteen....twenty....twentyfive feet into the air. Kaluth was then next to him, floating with another spell about 10 feet away. His staff was raised in a very agressive position this time. Tass knew what was to come.
Lightning streaked forth from the staff. It wracked at Tasses body. He could do nothing, he was defenseless in his current position. His muscels convulced, his robes smelled of burning, his very flesh curled away from the heat of the electricity.
The spell was only short, and after the burst Kaluth drifted towards Tass.
Kaluth: "You are a MAGE! You know how to control that beast! You are a SUMMONER! You KNOW HOW to control that beast! You will! Or you will feel the burn of magic again!"
Kaluth's tone suddendly changed one that was nearly pleasant, yet sinister: "Dont get me wrong Tass...you were out of line. You should have realized that is is dangerous to mess with the dead without a more experienced teacher about. In fact...if I am not mistaken...you swore not to, did you not? That is what I am punishing you for...but now you will contol your mind and control that beast or the punishment will CONTINUE!"
The magical restraints then lowered Tass towards the ground. There he hovered, only 10 feet now, with the beast directly infront of him. He rememberd the lessons. He remebered the lectures and the tests and the...punishments...of the past few months. But none came close to this. The pain was immence. He felt more hatred towards his teacher now than ever before. He knew though, that this was all nessassary. This was his training. If he was ever to become the best he would have to go though worse...but the pain...
Kaluth: "Focus! You must let, no, MAKE the creature become part of you. He is your creation. He is here only because you willed him to be. He is yours. You are his GOD! FOCUS! FOCUS!"

Katt: leave town? already? but why... *katt then notices the guard passing out fliers and putting up posters* uhhh... right, lets go! on a jorney to... somewhere! how about we just follow the path until we find something to do, or get bored, or even find another town! hopefully we'll get there before the posters do though... well heres hopeing! Lets go! |

Such a strange pair; I wonder if I am making a mistake accompanying them?
Shrugging, she kicks Neko's sides.
"Let's go!" she cheers, sprinting toward the trees, leaving her traveling companions choking on dust.
