*Katt catches the saber*

Katt: hey, nice thr... *the saber all of a sudden starts to move in her hand, and she almost drops it, but doesnt. the handle shrinks a little and the crossgaurd widens. The blade itself comes out a silverly white, it almost looks like metal but anyone could tell it was not ordinarly metal blade. the blade was the size of a dagger, but thin and swervy. it was a...*

Katt: a kris... neat. and look at the color... *she continues to inspect it a little bit longer* wow, the east is just chock full of nifty surprises...

*As the blade continue's to perk curiosity among the group, Fighter points to something for some reason but no one notices except for Jenneva, but who cares, Tanyu hasn't noticed*

Tanyu: "Oooh, aaahhh" (Tanyu just joins the chorus of being amazed at this strange weapon) "Hey Will, I hope you haven't forgotten that this thing killed you once"

[Χρνος]

*Fighter finally gives up in investigating whatever he was previously looking at, then walks up to the group. They all seem attracted to something.*

*He walks up to Tanyu (the closest to Fighter) and asks.* "Hey, what's goin on?"

Katt: this really strange sword... or kris... or sythe... or whatever this thing is. it seems to change with every person who holds it. maybe someone in town might know a thing or two about it... speaking of which, shouldnt we be going? you know to check on the villagers? thats why we bothered with this cave in the first place, no?

((i say lets go! ;D we fiddled with the sharp pointy object long enough, we have places to go, people to see, that whole deal))

[Cobra5]

"...you know, maybe Tanyu is right. That sword just tried to kill me again! A tree just fell on me! A tree! I've been lit on fire, tangled with demons, eaten alive, shot, stabed, sliced, and otherwise injured, but a tree!? That's a first. It must be out to get me..."

Katt: go ahead, blame it on the blade ... your a complete nut, you know? alright then, are we heading back to town or what? we should probably get going before it gets dark... just incase there still zombies down there. urg... its bad enough to have to fight undead... but in the dark? lets go...

[Tassatul]

Tass: "Uhhh. . .yah. . .just because the tree fell down after Will took a chuck out of it, its trying to kill him. Right"

"And don't forget that youve died, too. Along with all that other stuff."

"I say lets head out, we can learn more about the saber on the way there"

[Cobra5]

*The group continues to move, both on foot and horse (or equivilent) back*

*Eventually they come apon the town. From this distance, it looks peaceful.*

Katt: hey look! no baddies! but then again it took a second for them come out last time too. be on gaurd just incase...

*the group cautiosly makes their way to the old church*

*Fighter gets a little anxious while getting close to the town. He is expecting those zombie things to come out any time now.*

*He turns around a bit and asks thr group* "Hey guys, shouldn't we be like, you know, not going to a place filled with zombie monsters?"

[Cobra5]

"Actually... why are we here, again?... Oh yeah, that's right, the survirors, remeber?"

Katt: well, so far there hasnt been any monsters or zombies yet, so we're ok... and hopefully so are the survivors.

[BugHunter]

[Rewind]

Fighter: "Hey, what's goin on?"

Tanyu: (Explains the blade with the help of Katt) "Blah blah blah, yadda yadda yadda blade thingy"

Fighter: "Oh..."

Tanyu: "I just dont trust any weapon formerly used by a demon. Especially this demon. For all i know, that thing could have helped in killing my brothers and sisters in my village. I dont want to touch it"

[/rewind]

((ooc: Ok, I'll move the story along. I hope you guys dont mind. Forgive me if its too long but I only type this much unless I'm really into it, and that doesn't happen a lot. Basically whats happens is we enter the town, discover the undead are now dead, and greet the survivors. I hope you like it))

*So now our heroes have walked past the gates of the town that they saved. They were prepared to fight off any undead that would have been around. However, this would not come to be*

Jenneva: (after seeing the first permanently dead zombie on the street) "Hey, theres one!"

*Swords and staffs raised. Kal just gives a disinterested snort*

Katt: "W..Will, you check it out"

Will: "Me?! Why should i?!"

Tanyu: (grumble) "I'll check it out. Fighter, come with me"

*The two warriors approach the corpse with caution, just in case it still is undead. The others watch with anticipation*

Tanyu: (pokes the corpse with the blunt end of his naginata) "eh?" (pokes again... then waves his hand in front of its face)

Fighter: "Hey, hey! What are you doing?!"

Tanyu: "Dont worry, it seems to be at peace. I dont think it will do anything, nor any of the others"

*They look up and find the street dotted with the fallen bodies of now permanently dead zombies*

Tanyu: (to the others) "Its all clear!"

*The rest of the group joins Fighter and Tanyu*

Tanyu: (scratching his head) "They all seem to be truly dead now...or again. Odd, isn't it"

Tass: "Hey, I've read about stuff like this. Its in minion control 101! I should have guessed this would happen. All the zombies, ghouls, and undead were under the Demon's control right? Well, if you destroy the source controlling them, as we did, all the beings and subjects being controlled become released! And in this case, they seem to go back to being dead"

Group: "Ooooohhhhh..." (Kal just makes another disinterested snort. He already knows about this type of stuff and is just disgusted by how little they know. He keeps silent about it anyway)

Will: "Interesting...!" (pulls out his book and starts scribbling notes)

Tanyu: (trying to figure out what else to do) "Right...well um...ok" (Puts away his weapons) "Then we should move on then, right?" (considering there's nothing to kill anymore)

*The group agrees and they move forward towards the direction of the church where the survivors should be. When they get there, the survivors have already come out of the church and have begun clearing away the dead bodies and cleaning up what they can of the town starting with the area around the church. One of them notices our group and walks up to give reception. Its the Blacksmith, the one who directed us to where the Demon's lair was*

Blacksmith: "Hail, comrades! Hail! From the looks of things i can guess that your righteous quest was successful!" (begins delivering hugs and pats on the back. Other survivors begin to crowd around our heroes)

Tanyu: "You darn right it was!" ;D

Will: (being hugged crushed by the Blacksmith) ">gasp<...nice guy... get him off me..."

Blacksmith: (letting go of Will) "You wouldn't believe it! It was like a miracle! A couple of hours after you left, the zombies began a major offensive on our church while we were inside. We feared that we were done for! But right before the doors gave way they stopped! We looked out the windows and saw holy light descending upon them and then their souls were being released! And that was that. They were then finally able to return to their peaceful slumber. And I knew you brave heroes had something to do it! I knew then that your mission was successful!"

*The small croud around us begin giving short cheers of agreement, appreciation, joy, and thanks*

Blacksmith: "But theres still much more work to do in order to bring our unfortunate town back to the glory it once was. But we thank you for your help"

[Χρνος]

((Who get's to wield the Soul Sabre? If no one has any plans, I got an idea for Fighter.))

*Walks around the newly safe town and talks with all of the survivors. Most of them are more interested in the new party than Fighter. Actually, most of them try to avoid eye contact and conversation with Fighter, but he doesn't notice.

*Tass talks amongst some of the townfolk, but most arent too pleased by his profession and shuffle away upon hearing it*

*He makes his way over to Tanyu*

"This is great and all, but shouldnt we be moving on? Theres not much more we can do here" he says.
