"Let's see, thinking, that would lead to what I already think about you. So, how about you stop insulting my intelligence and tell me how this thing works?"

((ooc: You know, she said "cautious" not "curious". And will you guys wait for the others before you post too much. Dont waste space with none rpg chats and dont jump too far too often. And i vote on foot. And dont worry about local orc tribes or anything. We defeated the local head Demon. They'd have surely heard about us by now and be cowering in their caves)) [I'm gonna have to rewind a bit to before we met up at the camp together. Tanyu had some stuff to do before he left] *Tanyu waking up*Tanyu: "YAWN...ahh, what a great nights sleep" (stretches) ;D *After waking up, Tanyu says his thanks and goodbyes to the Innkeepers and makes his way towards the Blacksmiths shop*Blacksmith: "Ah! why hail there friend! Did you rest well?" Tanyu: "Actually the best sleep I've had in a long time. Your Inn here is really great too. So, lets talk business" Blacksmith: "Yes, i can fix your weapons and make them better than before. Here, give them to me" *Tanyu offers up his two swords and naginata which were heavily used during the fight against the Demon and his minions. The Blacksmith then works his magic (well it isn't magic, but you get the picture) and does what he promised, and does it well*Tanyu: (after the job is completed; examining the Blacksmith's work) "Wow! really nice! This is really really great work! ;D Thank you! Here, let me give you something in return" Blacksmith: "Oh no, no. No payment is necessary. You've done so much for me and this town already" Tanyu: "No i insist. These things are not much use for me anyway. I'm sure it will do more good to you and the town" *Gives the Blacksmith a good portion of the gold and trinkets he got from the Demons treasure hold*Blacksmith: "Why, thank you! You truly are something else" *After buying some throwing knives and then saying their farewells, Tanyu heads towards the local Alchemist shop for more supplies for the road ahead*[Now i could have divided this part off and put it into a separate post, but you force me to put it all in one and shorten it] Alchemist (he's an old dude): (Tanyu entering the shop) "Hmm, a customer..." Tanyu: "Hi there, i need a few supplies" *Tanyu buys some herbs, health potions, poison for his darts, and ingredients for bombs. He then pays in gold*Alchemist: "Woohaha! I should retire right now, hehehe. Thank you kindly sir!" ;D *Tanyu then meets the others at the makeshift camp on the outskirts of the town*[/end rewind] Tanyu: "I'm in favor for travelling on foot. I'm not too familiar with this region and it already satisfies my curiousity. I'd like to see more of it" *You see, even as an easterner who drifts from location to location, Tanyu still has only seen a small percentage of the continent(s)*

*Katt was awake really early in the morning, one of the first people up in the inn actully. she just snuck outside with all her stuff and wandered around a little on her own. she was just thinking to herself again, wandering aimlessly around the town until the shops open up, where she did some minor shopping.*
Katt: all this eastern stuff doesnt really serve me much perpose.. i need more of those itty bitty springs, wires, and just about everthing else i wont find here... i hope we meet a western trader sometime...
-after meeting up with the rest of the group and hearing the perposition about the portal-
Katt: a portal huh? it would make our journey so much shorter... that could be a good thing or a bad thing. i like traveling on foot alot better... but exacly how far are we traveling? where too?

Kaluth rolls his eyes, hes expalined this already.
Kaluth to everyone, ((dont forget he talkes like an old man with a raspy voice...setts the mood))- "As I said, as far as you want. The Portals are usually for high-mages, and People of importance, only. My goal though all this meandering is to train my apprentice. He has to see the world. I am sure that anywhere we travel, he will gain the experience that he needs. I'm sure that if we ask Will here, he could tell us more about the political standing of this continent, and I can request a portal to anywhere, or nearly everywhere, in this world, if any news sounds interesting to you.
After Tass here has gained enough experience, I am planning on bringing him back to the High Mages for full initiation as a Mage.
The votes are 3 against and 3 undecided, including myslef.
((Think of this as a way to just go somewhere, a change of senery, and Will can post the 'local' news of the area because 1) His character has been traeling around a lot and would know that, 2) He can get information like that from the locals and 3) He made the Map and knows cause hes the Creator. I mean if we all decide we want to investigate another Demon Sighting or something, then we can do that and become Demon Slayers. Or if we want to investigate Theiving problems in a nearby town, or a Religious Cult that is planning on converting the world, or a war that is about to break out between two countries, or anything. I'm just offering this as a way to change the senery fast.))

((ooc: Alright, sounds good. Yea, maybe Will has a place that would be cool to visit. And quest variety sounds good. But i dont care how we get there, just as long as we get there. So consider my vote now neutral))
Tanyu: "Well alright, but as long as we get to see places. I dont really care how we get there, just as long as we go"

((I got a little question here. Dan, do we wanna do our thing right now, get it over with? Cause then we could just 'port right to the council. That would certainly be an interesting place. Or do we need to wait longer, make it more betterer? )) *Tass wakes up in the morning, only slightly rested because of his dreams. He has breakfast silently, an eventually makes his way to the group meeting. After hearing the explanation he decides*"We'll, Id like to teleport. Quick, easy, safe, effective. And, Im kinda curious about becoming a mage"

Kaluth begins to reply, and then begins coughing a lot, in a raspy hoarse kind of way. After the fit is over, he says: "other than Tassatuls initiation, I dont beleve that we have any place to go...I dont know about the rest of the band."
Kaluth Glances around.

((Your guys characters are easterners, and are already supposed to know most of this stuff. We'll just pretend they did
These are three storylines I was working on back whgen Soul Saber was created. I breifly mentioned each at one point or another.))
"Well... uhh... Personally, I'd like to head to Katyr. There, the East meets the West. They study Magitechnology, and mages live alongside mechanics. I would be esstatic, but you guys would probably be bored out of your minds.
Down in the south, on the Talon penisula, The undead pluage rages unchecked. Everytown has walls and military guards, becuase undead attack daily. No-one can safly travel, and all dead must be burned. We could see if we could help out there.
Pyralis, on the Far Eastern continent, supposedly the birthplace of all magic, is going through a civil war. One group feels mages and the magically inclined are better then normal people, and should be treated as such. The leader of the revolution supposedly has an extremly powerful weapon. We could always see if there is anyway to help, or perhaps enlist in a milita, so we can help fight the good fight..."
