Soul Saber: Act II

[Jalathas]

*After leaping back from the fireplace and warning the others, Erimel begins chanting the words to a spell.*

Erimel: Ushta matog, Drailonis amilega, Ferian terrinaltha [glow=black,24,300]Araltha![/glow]
*A beam of black light fires from the moon-inlaid end of his staff, striking a mephit and severing its wings. The mephit falls to the ground, and cracks its head open on the floor.*

[Tassatul]

*Tass looks at Iwa*

"Uhh. I was just gonna have my minions bash it untill it collapses"

*Another roar from the forest*

"It does sound kinda big though, doesnt it? I could always curse it a few times, to weaken its armor. Unless Tanyu knows any dragon weaknesses?"

*Tass turns to Tanyu, expectantly*

[BugHunter]

Tanyu: "Hey, I'm a demon slayer, not a dragon slayer. I've never fought a dragon before"

[Tassatul]

Tanyu: "Hey, I'm a demon slayer, not a dragon slayer. I've never fought a dragon before"

Tass: "Oh well. I guess we'll do our best. Oy, look out!"

*A crowd of insanely fast bone dolls ran out from the forest and leapt at the group. Only a few feet tall, the little demons could flay a man alive if he wasn't ready for them. Luckily, Tass's minions took the brunt of the first attack, giving Tanyu and Iwa time to react*

Tass: "At least the dragon hasnt arrived yet. . ."

[BugHunter]

((ooc: I'm kinda imagining these things are like those little evil tribal critters in that jungle level of Diablo II))

*a bone doll leaps at Tanyu at an impressive speed*

Tanyu: "Woa!!"

*Tanyu holds his naginata forward and the bone doll falls into the blade and dies. Tanyu then tosses the corpse at an approaching group of the little things. As they topple over, Tanyu is already busy dealing with two more. He blocks their advances and pushes them away*

Tanyu: "Ugh...disgusting little creatures"

[Tassatul]

((Yup, thats exactly where I got them ;D))

*Tass summons a few of the bone dolls killed by his minions. One breaks though his reanimated blockade and leaps directly for his throat. Stepping deftly to the side, Tass punches the flying doll in midair, knocking it to the ground. Before it can get up, a sizable mallet smashes it into the ground, killling it. Tass looks at the reanimated Orc gratefully, even though it cannot respond to emotion*

"Maybe I ought to get some type of melee weapon. . . I dont think my fists are going to cut it"

*Another deafening roar from the woods*

Tass: "I think its getting clo- ah, nevermind"

*The dragon burst through the forest edge, uprooting trees in it way. Tass could feel the wind from its wings as it flapped them in agitation. Any remaining monsters not crippled fled instantly, scared by the massive dragon. Only Iwa, a bit woosy, Tanyu, Tass and his small horde of minions remain*

Tass: "I'm beginning to think going inside wouldn't be a bad idea. . ."

[Saknicep]

* Iwa thinks for a minute as he looks at the looming dragon above

"Now, now lets not go in just yet Mister Tass, I may have an Idea...If your spells can weaken its armor as you said it can, so that Tanyu's nagiata blade can penetrate it then maybe..."

* Iwa hesitates for a moment knowing the only person that can jump or reach that high is Sho, then says replys

"Yes! I can give Tanyu a lift...or toss him, if you will, hard enough to get to the dragon....that is if you are willing to, my friend!"

" Unless of course, you have a diffrent plan...."

[Tassatul]

Tass: "Sounds alright to me. . ."

*Tass brings his hands together, gathering energy for the armor softening spell. Meanwhile his minions rush the dragon, slashing at its legs uselessly*

Tass: "This is going to take a few minutes. . . try to keep it distracted. . ."

[Saknicep]

* Iwa finds a desently sized bolder and throws it at the dragon (like a shot put) It hits the dragon in the head diverting it's attention from Tass to Iwa.
Iwa then smiles as he folds his hands together creating a step for Tanyu with his hands as perpares to thorw him up toward the dragon

"Are you ready, my friend?"

[Deimos]

*After losing sight of Katt for a short while during his less than stellar tower entry, Sho manages to single out the energies of both Katt and Erimel who decided to enter as well. Following the trail, he finds the two tangled up with a 'small' number of mephits...not exactly the most fearsome creatures...but annoying to fight with*

Sho: "hey guys...thought i'd be fashionably late...yeah...crap"

*Just as he comes in, he spears a stray mephit heading for the opening...right through its chest and hurls it across the room*

Sho: "I'm guessing we just want to keep these little guys to ourselves? or do you have anything else in mind between the two of you...cuz' it looked as if I missed out on the real action"

*Before he could catch his breath, another mephit...or rather...what looked like the same one he just skewered, leaped at him...Sho then came to realization that the flame around his naginata did nothing to little imps...*

Fireproof...great...if they were more of a challenge, like that other fire...'thing' then this would be fun...but...oh well

*With that, Sho's weapon lost its glow...and he followed up with a quick horizontal swing. Taking out not only the one he skewered, but two more around it*

((hey, sorry about the absence...i'm back))

[BugHunter]

((ooc: You know, I'm still getting mixed messages - Is the dragon in the air or not? I'll just rp in a way where it doesn't matter then...))

*Tanyu sees Iwa's cue*

Iwa: "Are you ready, my friend?"

Tanyu: "Well...Here goes nothing!"

*Tanyu puts away his naginata and runs towards Iwa. Iwa launches him into the air where midway towards the dragon, Tanyu extends his wristblades. He kinda got tossed really high*

Tanyu: "Woa! Holy cow, Iwa's strong!"

*But refocusing on the target, Tanyu gets ready for contact. He throws his grappling hook at the dragon which wraps around its neck and thus allowing him to get onto its back and ride it like a wild bull. The dragon obviously doesn't like this and tries clawing and attempts to knock off Tanyu who does everything he can to dodge the claws and prevent himself from falling off. Tanyu draws his wristblades and attempts hacking away at the back of its neck. It barely gets through its thick armor like scales and thus does little damage*

Tanyu: "Tass!!! You better hurry up with that spell!!!"

*While Katt was taking down a couple of fire mephits at one side of the room, Sho enters and slays about four of the little buggers about to escape from the room. Katt picks off a few more mephits with her bow that were heading directy for Sho*

"Well well, fancy seeing you here, my friend. how nice of you to show up." Katt said in jest.

*Between Katt, Sho and Erimel, the mephit were quickly eliminated. The room was clear and they could move up the tower*

[Deimos]

*Just as Sho went for a second swing, the mephits heading to him all fell consecutively...with arrows on their backs. He then chuckles back a retort to her greeting*

Sho: "such coincidences eh miss? nice shot...but you know, I could've handled it"

well...with that aside...where to now? I still can't sense anything directly anywhere within the tower...

[Tassatul]

*Tass watches as Tanyu gets himself onto the back of the dragon's neck, hacking away pointlessly at the thick armor of skin. It stomps around on the ground, attacking both Tass's minions and trying to remove Tanyu from its back*

Tanyu: "Tass!!! You better hurry up with that spell!!!"

*Between Tass's hands, a bright purple energy ball is forming. The energy waves output from the ball blow Tassatul's hair back, and flutter his cloak. By the time Tanyu yells, Tassatul feels the spell is ready*

Tass: "Hold on, it should get a lot easier in a moment!"

*Tass fires the purple energy point at the dragon, aiming right for its head. The great grey dragon is too busy worriing about Tanyu to even notice the spell. As it turns its head toward Tass, it gets blasted right in the face with the spell. The dragon stumbles backward from the force of the spell, but is soon ready for battle again. What it hasnt noticed is the spreading dark purple tint on its grey skin. Slowly, the purple spreads down from its face to its neck*

Tass: "Alright! Attack the purple parts!"
