Yeah, I know. When we first got Cable it was like... "So this is what playing online feels like", even though I had played online before.
HL2DM is fun as like a novelty, but not something you can play forever. Its more of a neat trick then a cool mltiplayer mode. But yeah, there's a lot of cool stuff you can do, like build forts out of dressers and couches and stuff, or reflect peoples flung debris back at them.
Day of Defeat is free, Day of Defeat: Source isn't, unless you buy HL2 gold. Then its free when it comes out. I havn't play Day of Defeat, but Dan says its great. He keeps wanting me to try it. I tell him I will bu never do, becuase I'm mean like that.

The Tesseract has begun to make too much sense...
*Deimos walks over to Cobra and pulls off his character 'outline' and Cobra melts, Deimos then fashions his outline into a sword and fills it with paint to make it solid*

*Despite all the one-word actions of the other in he bar, Tass is thinking deep thoughts to himself in the corner. Things like, "Is there free will in heaven?" cross his mind. Because when you really think about it, there cannot be. All our human lives we are subject to sin, we choose to sin everyday, even little white lies and minor infractions. When we finally die, many belive our personalities goes to a place called heaven, a perfect and un-sinful place. Apparently, in heaven, or whatever one might wish to call it, there is no sin, and everything is holy. But this creates an odd contradiction. How is a person, naturally sinful, to have free will in heaven? Lying is a sin, correct? But if Aunt Bertie really doesn't look good in that new bright orange dress, in heaven, one has no choice but to tell her the truth, because anything else would be a sin. In a probability, the thought of lying to her could not even exist. A person would no longer be themselves once they reach heaven. The ability of freedom of thought has been revoked. Another thought floats across Tassatul's mind. Can having visions of the future actually control and lock into existence that future? Supposedly, the supreme being who created this universe is all-knowing. He/She/It knows how the war in Iraq will turn out, who the next president will be, and what color t-shirt you are going to pick to wear tomorrow morning. He even knows whether each individual will go to heaven or hell. By knowing this, does he remove one's ability to choose their own destiny? Or are the decisions still yours to make, and he just happens to know what choice you make, every time? Perhaps because he is separate from everyday life, and is not a physical person on this earth, it makes no difference what he knows. But what if he was someone? What if he told such-and-such a person that they were destined for hell? Is that person doomed because of the supreme being's statement, or was that person already on the path of destruction? With any luck, all of this will be answered when we finally do pass into the great beyond*
Disclaimer: This was not an attack on any religious or spiritual beliefs. It was merely a discussion of ideas and philosophy. It was also an attempt to expand the mental capacity of the Tesseract, and hopefully invoke some thoughtful . . . thoughts. This was a test. This was only a test.

*as katt sits in the corner and reads tass's though bubble, she confirms to herself that its easier to just not beleive in god. then goes on to ponder whether infinity is actually a number or just a direction, and whether or not it can be placed as a point on a co-ordinate plane... and what kind of grade she got on her first ap calc test *

Ew AP calc. I dropped that like it was hot last year. When our teacher said we have to estimate, I quit. I hate guessing, and especially in math, a class that is supposed to give you straight answers.
