Oh, no, Bugs, she's not 100% deaf.... She has about 30% of her hearing, so she can speak, but it's not her main form of communication.
I agree, though, about those questions in the context of a 100% deaf person.... That would be interesting to think about...
lol Cute, Abishai.... He hates not being listened to, but even his magic doesn't listen! heh

Exactly ;D
EDIT
I found something just now that made me laugh, hard. I was looking for a listing of super powers that have been used before and found a song. . . .
I got bitten by a radioactive bug I tried an experimental drug I went out for a stroll on a gamma testing range I found an enchanted Uru cane
I made a serum that made me small I modified the serum so it would make me tall I got radioactive isotope in my eye A dying alien helped me excessorize
I gained the proportionate strength of a spider Now I'm invincible and I can fly I lost my sight and my other senses were heightened I'm gonna put on my pajamas and go fight crime
Now I'm a super hero (now I am a) I'm a super hero now (super hero) Now I'm a super hero (I'm a super) I got my super powers (hero now)
My best friend and my girlfriend (and her brother) went into space Who'da thought we'd get bombarded by cosmic rays It turns out I'm the last of a powerful alien race My mother formed me from a lump of magic clay
I'm given super powers by a yellow sun I studied under the Ancient One I got an adamantium skeleton Some grizzled old wizard taught me a magic acronym
Now I got the wisdom of Solomon And the Strength of Hercules I have memorized what "AZAM" was But I still fight evil in my red pajamas
Chorus
I gotta get me a helicopter And you can get a jet plane We'll take out their surveilance tower We can make up code names
And when you get home at the end of your day I'll pack your parachute and put away Your utility belt and gas grenades You were never meant to see I showed you my secret identity I suppose that I could always hypnotise you If I wanted to But I propse another thing You can wear my decoder ring We can have matching hovercraft We can go undercover
After all we might just fall like stars from the sky You know too but I know you you won't be happy til you try Super hero team-up Cowboy secret space detective true love Super villain two-in-one The bad guys have taken over Washington Don't be scared cause I'm prepared There's an emergency but I'm ready
Cause fortunately I'm a super hero too I got super powers just like you
Now I'm a super hero Now I'm a super hero Now I'm a super hero

Since people have been bringing up how difficult it might be for a deaf/mute to communicate with the rest of the team, I came up with a couple of other ideas that I could use instead.... But, now I can't choose between them....
The first is okay, but I've been playing a lot of girls, lately, and I was looking for a change.....
The second started out much cooler and has kind of turned into Clan Lasombra does The Godfather.
What do y'all think? The original (Vic, the telepathic deaf/mute), or Razael (Gypsy illusionist) or Luciano (Wanna-be Lasombra)? ----------------------------------------------------------------- Name: Razael Vij Alias: Gypsy Age: 18 Eyes: Violet, or Blue, or Gold, or whatever color she feels like today Hair: See Eyes Gender: Female Profession: Waitress Specialty: Tactics, Subterfuge
Superpowers: Illusion: Isn't this one pretty self-explanatory?
Bio: Razael is a gypsy. Her family, tracing its roots back to Romania and India, is a traditional gypsy family, nomadic, distrusting and superstitious. Born during a Blood Moon just outside of Baton Rouge, Razael was the fourth of, eventually, seven children. She grew up learning shamanic "magic," including herbal remedies and fire reading, but regarded them all with little faith. She also learned much by the way of hunting with her father, including basic battle tactics that she later studied in her spare time. Her illusory powers began to manifest nearly as soon as she could walk. She would often mesmerize people with her minor prestidigitations and collect tips, both voluntary and not. Her powers developed quickly, soon drawing the attentions of her family, who thought her to be a faerie-childe and the reincarnation of a fey princess that the gypsies claimed as their ancestor. Needless to say, this environment was somewhat stifling. At the age of 16, Razael ran away, acquired a false identity, her GED and a somewhat normal life as a waitress. She, however, never stopped using her glamours, running bills through the system at higher tabs and such to make ends meet. DSi became aware of her existence through the IRS when her illegal income came into question.
Pros: -Unofficial tactician -Illusions allow for great stealth
Cons: -Youth and inexperience can cloud her judgement -Illusions are not effective forms of attack as they cannot harm people (however, a glamoured knife that appears to be a flower still functions as a knife) ----------------------------------------------------------------- Name: Luciano Delioni Alias: Luch [pron. LOOSH], Schermo (di Notte) Age: 27 Eyes: Slate Grey to Black Hair: V. Short, Black Gender: Male Profession: Former Military (Captain, USMC) Specialty: Tactics, Heir
Superpowers: Obtenebration: Shadow manipulation can have many varying uses. Shadows can be used to give cover, to distract, to asphyxiate, to hide, etc.
Bio: Luciano Delioni is the grandson of Vincent Delioni, a man of some questionable power and influence in Italy (think about it). Luciano's father, Andrei Delioni, was a hard-working business lawyer in New York who moved to the US with his wife, an Italian woman named Isabella, three months before Luciano was conceived. Luciano grew up in a rather well-off, strictly Catholic household and never seemed to resent it. In his senior year of highschool, however, he showed his natural rebellion by signing up for the military, against his father's wishes. His grandfather, however, saw this as a wonderful opportunity and encouraged his grandson to join. Luciano finished an unremarkable run through bootcamp and was assigned to Intel, where he studied tactical and intelligence for 6 years, receiving two promotions along the way. At the end of his six years, he decided to take an ELOA and visit his extended family in Italy. During his visit, his grandfather died. Andrei, being the oldest son, was sent for and he soon moved back to Italy with Isabella to take over the family. Luciano, discouraged by the death of his grandfather, left the Marine Corps and disappeared from his family for two years. At the age of twenty-six, Luciano returned--for his father's 50th birthday. But, he was a changed man, constantly shrouded in an almost tangible darkness. After the celebrations, he returned to the US and was soon recruited by DSi.
Pros: -Independantly wealthy -Advanced tactical knowledge
Cons: -He just might be a little bit evil.....

A) Bughunter, assumeing a person was telepathic, they wouldn't need to hear language to communicate. Telepathic communication would involve the tranfer of abstract ideas and feelings, to the point where you just "know" what the person is try to say, both ways.
After all, if you could read a mind, that's how it would work.
B) The shadow one, power-wise at least, is a lot like a character I made for soul saber (but didn't use, instead going for the one I have now). He was an Eastern mage, a Sciomancer (shadow mage) to be precise. He could teleport, using shadows as 'doors', he could harmlessly manipulate shadow's images (mostly an intimadation factor), cast clouds of darkness which obscured vision, and summon shadows, which were immune to all types of physical attacks, yet couldn't physically attack their targets either (they only use and are vulnerable to magic style attacks). His 'ultamate' skill was "Eye of Shadow", which takes a long, uninterupted period of concentration, during which he hold his arms to the air and sommons a large, floating shadow above him. When finished, the shadow opens to reveal itself as an eye, a full eclipse suddenly takes place, and when the light returns, several enemies are simply no longer there...
Just some ideas if you intend to go with that idea.
C) Any ideas for neat DSi stuff? Its supposed to be a big lab, hundreds of people working inside, totaly secret, cutting edge, and underground (or otherwise hidden)... though I intend it to be a bit off-beat, to keep with the DSi theme.

Ooo.... Neat power-y stuff, Will.... I will keep it in mind, since he sounds like the resident favourite, so far..... I like him because he's a little bit evil.... But, he just screams plagiarism to me..... I mean, he didn't start out being so similar to The Godfather... He sort of grew into it.
I dunno--DSi supplies Superheroes, now.... It doesn't seem to be like Bond or LFN where you can have Poisoned Lipstick or a Garotte Wire in your Rolex.....

After all, if you could read a mind, that's how it would work. But what would it sound like is my question. Like if you were to make a movie. Or would they just go the safe route and make it so that the audience doesn't hear anything when she uses telepathy. Dude, make it so that DSi is paying for my college tuition. Or maybe I'm studying in a facility under them. Cus that'd be kool and explain my involvment with DSi. But then that would entail that DSi also helps other students and therefore my character would just be another face in the croud, although a very "gifted" croud. But then that means i get the possibility of creating a story where somehow my character gets involved and becomes a more primary character amongst that croud through coincidental events or whatnot. Kinda sounds like the X-Men thing now

I'd assume itd all be related to the powers each person has. Like a telepath might help develop a helmet of sorts to expand his or her powers. If they use any melee weapons, maybe the labs could be developing new versions that are lighter, easier to use, and more powerful. (Like I think my character is going to use either one or two swords, so DSi could be working on a vibrosword version of them) Of course, there could be a transportation section, where they create ships and stuff for when the Heros need to travel around.

"Vibroswords" are in both Starwars and Battletech But nobody uses them in battletech, 'cuase you know, they have guns and laser beams and PPCs... Neat idea, I'd say. One thing I might end up adding to my character is, perhaps, Dr. Octopus style extra mechanical arms. I havn't been seriously considering it, yet, but I like the idea. Also, not something as advanced and powerful as Dr. Octopuses arms since my guy already has other powers... they would just have one joint (like an arm and elbow, they wouldn't be like tentacles) and the wouldn't be as long. Also, they'd just have a point, or maybe a two fingered claw, not guns or anything at the end. Just an idea I've been playing with. I read this weird christian comic in the library one day called "Creature Tech" (from the maker of Earthworm Jim, among other things) and the main character had an alien parasite on him that gave him to extra 'arms', and I thought it looked really cool (though, I didn't really like the comic overall). ^That was the major insparation.
