That's fine. Make your character or characters as unique as you want them.....the more unique the better they are. There are no major limitations....just make sure you don't go over the top.

sorry love, but i highly disagree. if youre a good roleplayer, it doesnt matter what the character is like. A good RPer can make even the most mundane characters seem intresting. check out our soul saber characters for example, most of us are just regular joes with a strange quirk here or there, save a couple. my character seems like a perfectly normal person, just with a weapon . thats how i like my characters anyway. i dont need no steenking half blood, magic sword weilding, super power toting, anime character to have fun. 'keep it simple, stupid' is my motto, a lesson hard learned from mathematics

I understand that concept. But a well thought out character can be quite interesting as well. I myself tend to use normal type characters....such as the ones I will be using in this RP, but coming up with some really unique characters really knocks people up in my book. I like to see how creative people can be when they think up characters. If you make "normal" characters all the time, they tend to copy each other every now and then. I've seen people come up with awesome concepts for people.

However, I'm not saying that people have to do that. There's nothing wrong with taking a normal joe and turning him into a hero. Make whatever kind of character you wish. However....on this concept, just so you know....all characters are be human. Hope you all sign up....I promise it will be quite interesting.

At least that's what I thought when I put it on mediaminer.org, but only 1 person signed up.....

Of course....there's like 20 RPs going on at once there.

I think a balance is most healthy for a good character. You cant have him be too unique, or it just gets silly. Conversely, a character devoid of ANY uniqueness would just get boring to play (in my opinion). So throw in some quirkey habits, a few flaws, and maybe even some magic dust. But just not too much

Like I said before, Just follow my character sign-up sheet above and post it here. Although it does ask for quite abit of info on the character, you don't have to put TOO much, just enough so that I could at least get a hold of what the character will be like.

Persona: He hates light, he hates people, he hates open spaces. He is rather unconfident, sad, and indecisive. He also likes to hoard his money.

History: He won't tell you. Ever.

What should I do with this one? Definitely not what I was expecting for a character. A hunch-backed, crotchety, greedy beggar that hates people and has personality issues and he eventually turns into a savior of the planet? Hmm....definitely an interesting concept.

If you were being serious about the character, then I guess I'll accept it, just out of pure curiosity of what you'll make him do during the RP. Although, you could have come up with at least a bit of history, although that was pretty clever of you. ;D

well here goes, i think this should work out.

Name: Faust Lariat

Age: 26

Sex: Male

Appearance: Faust is the stereotype warrior, physically. Standing at 6 foot 5, every inch of his body is covered with muscle from years of intense training. His entire body is a pale white, even after training in the sun for hours. Faust's short hair is also white, and his eyes contrast with a deep red.

Clothing: Faust wears white clothes to accompany his pale body. Even his battle armor, which coveres every inch of his body, was cast in white.

Personality: Despite what typical warrior/tanks are like, Faust is actaully a very personable and animated person. He is intelligent and well-read and could have devoted a life to scholarship if he so chose.

History: Faust grew up on the continent of Aquaria, home of the warrior clans. He trained, along with all the other children, from a very young age up through adulthood to be accomplished warriors. Other than his perpetuallly pale skin and red eyes, nothing about Faust's life was particularly abnormal. He accomplished his training with average difficultly, sometimes faltering, but never outright failing, and only occasionally with ease.

Home Continent: Aquaria

Class: Warrior

Weapon: A huge scythe he crafted himself out of the finest of metals. One solid length of titanium, the scythe is light enough to wield, but still heavy enough to gain deadly momentum. The handle is wrapped with a white bandanna, and has a small bit of red near the pommel.

Yes, that character will work fine, Tass. Your accepted. I like the scythe idea too, it's not a typical weapon for a warrior.
