here's my character- I jumped at the chance for something unique...sorry, couldn't resist...but I did hold back a bit
Name: Shotaro (goes by ‘Sho’) Age: seems to be in his early 20’s, honestly though, no one knows Sex: male
Appearance: He stands at about 5’11” and has an average build. His hair is mid-back length, jet black, rather untidy and tied in a ponytail. Sho has only one real identifying mark on his body; on his left forearm is something of a brand- a hammer with its head over a flame, surrounded by two circles and a pair of wings.
Clothing: Sho doesn’t wear a shirt, but he does wear some light one-piece armor that only goes up halfway his chest. Over which, he seems to wear some sort of white pelt (that can act like a cloak). Below, he wears a pair of dark green, very loose trousers- kept in place with leather thongs above the knees. Above that, he sports two belts with multiple tools and assorted packets, as well as a think leather band wrapped around both. Lastly, he has a white bandanna that covers his head…whose leftover cloth reaches to his waist, and a bright scepter (explanation in his equipment section) below his brand on his left arm.
Personality: Sho…is well…simply enough- can be described as…confusing and difficult to describe. Sho talks in circles and just when you think he’s kidding- he’s telling the truth- and when you think he can help, he actually can’t help at all. Yet, he can also be seemingly all knowing. His wisdom is something that can’t be understood unless you get to thoroughly understand him. He is also, for the most part, very blunt. Not to mention, he can be kind, ruthless, and simply unpredictable all within seconds of each other.
History: Not much is really known of Sho, except for his name…Shotaro, and his occupation- an artisan, specializing as a swordsmith. More is known of his work: he is able to instill spirits into weaponry, effectively making them much stronger, and granting them extraordinary powers. Not to mention, he can repair weapons even better than a scepter can. Of course, he also only does so for clients that are able to gain his respects. His last known home was the fire continent Flamdera, all that’s left of it however is a hut. There are some aspects of his life that are assumed through some scattered facts and clues: the most important being the brand on his left forearm- which is the brand of the lost Artisan’s Guild; a collection of the world’s greatest artists. It was rumored to have been a breeding ground for those who are insane yet aesthetically advanced in their senses. From this Guild came Granstream’s great artists, swordsmiths, blacksmiths, etc. The Guild thrived, until the day the Imperial Wizardry’s desperation came to a peak. The Guild was one of the first of many locations to become submerged in the waters that would soon cover the entire world’s surface. How Shotaro came to have the brand is a complete mystery, let alone, even if he was one of the Guild- that’d make him over a hundred years old…which is seemingly possible.
Home Continent: …either Gaiaral or Flamdera
Class: artisan > swordsmith
Weapon: Sho wields a scepter- which he uses primarily as a storage device for this- The Zangetsuten- an arguably simple looking hammer, that has a handle as long as he is tall. However, being one of his greatest accomplishments, the hammer has some unique traits…for example- only Sho can wield it…anyone else who tries, is first shocked and burned by a fire and electricity barrier…and if they pass that- they’ll have to try and lift it…and unless its Sho…the Zangetsuten is as heavy as a few good tons. Secondly, the Zangetsuten can raise a powerful magic barrier by its own will.
And his leather band isn’t just for show, the leather band he wears around his waist is a super-strong leather hide, capable of catching and stopping almost any blade of any weapon.
---------- so? what do you think? I know he may seem over powerful with his hammer and leather band...but he won't fight much...and I know to watch for powerplaying
i'll change whatever I need to change if you see something that doesn't work

In the beginning we'll be going on our own seperate paths, we'll come up with our own stories, as to introduce our characters. At some point, you can have something happen that involves an event with the Imperial Wizardry of some kind. A full-on attack, a bombardment from their airships, etc. I'll leave that up to you. Something bad will happen to your character during this point and they'll begin their quest for vengence, unless you can come up with a different reason for going after them. We can have the charcters meet with each other and form a party, but I guess that will depend on each characters personal storyline. Again I'll leave that to the other players, if they want to journey together, we can figure something out. If you would rather journey alone, I see no problem with that.
I don't necessarily want to GM the whole RP....I don't find it fair that I have to move the story along and the others follow. I suppose I will to an extent, for I may make the Imperial Wizardry do things that affect our actions, but it will be a player effort. ----------------
As for you Deimos....I don't see any major problems with your character. I like your character sheet, it's very descriptive and I really appreciate that, you've given some thought to the character. The equipment isn't a humongous problem, but he will have to fight at certain intervals, cause there will be baddies to eliminate. But, we can figure that out later.
In any case, your character is accepted. Welcome.

Shut the fuck up, bugs. You know therpmaker isn't me, because I fucking hate wizards. Second of all, an admin could verify it isn't me by tracing IPs. Fuckhead, shut up.

Cool it, both of you. Francis, read the PM I sent you and think about it. Coral, please ignore him for the time being (or indefinitely, if thats what you need) and try to concentrate on the RPG, because I like it and hope it goes somewhere.

Hear, hear!
I'm hoping this RP goes somewhere here. The other site I RPed at was horrible. It appeared that every one I joined lasted a week and then died, as did mine. This site has a lot less users and their here to RP, so it should be fine.
I'm hoping more people sign up by tomorrow. That's when I hope to start it.

Well, I wouldnt get too dissappointed if it goes kinda slow. . . we used to be hardcore, but these days, not so much. Everyones got stuff to do (or at least enough of us do so that things dont work out)
