i'm really sorry about double posting but...
now that the game has been...err...brought back- I decided to change my character's current situation- instead of leaving his ship, he'll now be in it. So at this point, Sho is drifting through space in the Black Squall...maybe I can bump into any one of you...

ummmm......wow havent used this thread in a while. Bughunting is an extremely open rpg -- but I dont think you want to be a full blown bug. They are all controlled by :::ahem::: me -- or tassatul -- at this point. Bugs themselves are nearly brainless, and unless somebody is REALLY REALLY good at role playing ing, I dont know if somebody can make the point of view of a brainless bug interesting. The other option you have, of course, is to make a character that is abord a ship that becomes infested -- then you will be a bug / human or bug / whateverspeciesyouhappentobe. The only thing I'm worried about is the whole lack of posting thats going on recently....nobody is really up for role playng cause its the end of school and stuff is going on. Although, maybe if you post something good it will inspire other people to post. If somebody wants to fill our friend in here on whats going on that would be cool.. I'm too lazy. Or you can read it, a long (but awesome) read if you have the time. Sup to you! Reading it would also show you what kind of things are allowed (nearly anything, this is our most open-ended rpg ever)

The reason people stopped posting in this RPG isd becauce there are no goodguys left. Kal is the New King, Tass is second in command, Cobra is a grunt. The only good guys left are Sirus and Deimos. We need mre goodguys...

Thats okay because im going to be a sort of... failed bug that has a brain. He'll take orders at the start, and then he'll do the equivalent of 'desertion' I'll the bio as soon as possible.
Name: Zraask Race: Bug Age: 2 Eyes: Bright Red Color: Purple with red stripes Length: 4'8 Gender: None Profession: Grunt//Commander Bug Security Clearance: '--' Specialty: -Improvisational Fighting* -Stealth
*(He picks up whatever is lying on the ground, whether it be a rifle or a shard of glass, and uses it.)
Weapon(s) of Choice: -Claws -Tail -Antique AK-47 Assault Rifle
Armor and Equipment: -Carapace
Bio: Bug. But not your average. A stronger then normal grunt bug with a brain to command its followers. Unfortunately, a slight defect in its brain differed it from its fellow Devouring Ones, the fact that he can think. He has a sickly sweet voice, which seems as though it was backed by the whole of the swarm. It took a few runts under wing, and hijacked a vessel. Shortly following, he took that ship to a station and started infesting it.
Though he is considered 'evil' by his voice, he does have a way with his prisoners, causing a Stockholm Syndrome where eventually, the prisoners like him enough to actually touch him.
Pros: +Good leader +Friendly +Alert Cons: -Aura of Menace (He sounds ugly, he looky ugly, he behaves ugly, he IS ugly.) -Paranoid -Sideless
Physical Description: A sort of purple lizard with a long tail. Its skin appears soft, and is quite the opposite. It has bright, bright red eyes and yellowed teeth. On its feet each are 3 claws, and out of its shoulders, strange appendages with seem to have dagger-like claws on them to pounce.

They're are ones like that, I suppose. Like Tassatul originally was before he was... 'recalled'.
Does that sound ok with everyone?
Although, the bugs with brains are called 'the Infected' as opposed ot the brainless form, 'the Bred' or 'the Born'. The Infected are much, much stronger then their queen-Bred counterparts.

*Beats back a wave of Blizzard lawyers* There are no "Zerg" here. Never heard of such a thing. . . ;D Anywho. Are you a bug then, or an infested zerg?(Edit: heh, this is pretty much what Will asked, after reading his post again) And could we get a physical description, just so I can visualize what you look like? Othern that, cool!

There is a map involved with this rpg -- and will was suppose to post it. Thats the real reason the rpg came to a screeching halt, not becuase there are not any good guys. The good ones were suppose to be Sirus, Sho, Bughunter, and Palla.
If the map was posted, you would see that Malendrome station is not in the sector taken over. The bugs have not yet left the Draconis Sector (a very very desolate sector with hardly any life whatsoever, which is why Kal decided to start the building of the new fleet here, undisturbed).
And wait - Coral - your a bug? You do know that the bugs report to me right? Kal? Hes the King Bug, taken the place of the Queen that Bughunter had so much fun killing (if I remember rightly?).
I seriously think we had a mistake here....Sho was suppose to meet up with Sirus (my good guy fool-heardy character) in space station Malendrome, and we were suppose to come up with an intro for him....the station is not bad, its just so happens to be under the control of bounty hunters (if anybody read my post) -- the bugs arent anywhere near it......and they dont have "grunts" as guys that run aroud for the bugs....
sorry its just of all the things on this board I put a lot of thought into one of em, and this happend to be it.

Bughunting is a dificult RPG. It was our very first (do you guys evern remember the "RP for idiots" ), and as such, has litterally years of backstory and context. But I think there is a simple solution. One of the planets in the draconis is the home to a species of preditory lizards (call them whatever you want). Kal (who is currently experimenting with new forms of bugs) uses a member of this now infested and brainless species to conduct experiments in new command-type bugs to better aid in abttlefield control. His experiment seems successful, but is an eventual failure. And this is how your character comes to be...? Sound good? Its a lot like the original idea. The big things to remember (which are probably not evident without reading pages and pages of RP) are A) The bugs live only, and only, in the Draconis sector (for now) B) All pure bugs are mindless, while all infested species (or decendents thereof) retain atleast their basic brain patterns C) Make it up as you go ;D Remember, guys, this was suppsoed to be the RPG of 'anything goes' when it first came out

Yeah, that's true. Spontinuity is good, but there has to be at least a little framework.
Well, I'mn not really involved in this scenerios, so its up to you guys.
