since this was apparently the discussion thread- why don't we move the planning discussion here- it seems to be taking up a good chunk of pages...
my question: okay, I just left Malendrome Station- am I still going to be within the Draconis Sector when I get out? it's not a warp, so I won't be getting very far...and other than that...where or what would I have to do/get to to join up with everyone...?

Hmm, I'll my huge squad will be going to the Draconis Sector to dispute some indescriminate justice. And i guess meet up with Will's good side...
Oh wait, then that means we should move this thread to the rpg ideas board

Hey look, a discussion thread!! Anywho, I thought that we could start discussing what is going to happen next in the RPG, specifically, getting the group back together and then, the upcoming primary battle with the bugs. As for my thoughts, I figure everyone aught to meet up with BugHunter, he seems to be the main attacking force. Maybe he could pick up everyone along the way. Like, he finds Cobra, meets with Katt and the Apocalypse, hooks up with Deimos and so on. Meanwhile, me and the bugs continue thrashing planets. Thoughts please!

Yup, nothing big, the local militia just set a nuke off ;D Other than that, i think the planet is pretty much doomed. On a side note, the bug invasion forces are quite huge. Like large numbers, and were just starting out. So as i see it, BugHunter and crew will show up, be doing pretty well at attacking, but eventually be pushed back buy overwhelming force. Just to make it more convincing, so the bug empire doesnt get smashed first thing. basically, im asking you to lose BugHunter

aww, come on... I was kinda hoping that we'd show up and kick the crap out of the bugs, and considering its too late the save the local militia (or much of it, i was kinda hoping to get a few recruits) we'd accomplish this task by burning the whole planet (Like the Protoss). I was also kinda hoping that since it was just an outskirt planet the attack force wouldn't be that big... awwww.... Well if it has to be that way, i guess i could make it so that we get 3/4ths in and then get pushed back, maybe lose a ship or two... But then you're gonna have to bring up something new (big bad guy or something. Maybe an really really big infested cruiser?). My guys always should be able to defeat huge swarms considering they're so weapons intensive. Unless that huge swarm really is really really huge...

Well, hey... you guys can combat the bugs no problem... like, you can take out the invasion, you know... but don't forget, he's got a SUPER BATTLESHIP or two in orbit. Even if your troops can handle the bugs, your don't have a fleet of battlecruisers at your back like he does.
I think that's a good escuse. It dosn't make the Hunters looks weak (hell, they didn't even know the bugs could infect entire battlships untill now, so they wouldn't be prepared for orbital combat), and it still lets Tassatul take the planet.

Thats good, thats kinda what i was aiming for, makeing the Hunters still look good, but also haveing them realize that this is no normal bug invasion.
