Becuase of deimos, I'm really starting to want to pick this back up. He created a new character, and I really want to continue now.
Anyone else up for it?
We can pick up a bit in to the future, skip all the boring getting together and get straight to the fights. We can say that Cobra has already split... the infested one is trying to find Kal, and the still-human is trying to find the heroes.
The heroes would be Bughunter and sirus, the New Fabric as their HQ (the New Fabric, a Frigate, has a dock large enough to hold the Hunter's Star, a Corvette, within.) The hunters are teamed up with the crew of the Fabric and any remaining Newbie warriors.
Tassatul will have already met with Kal. Tassatul is now the second-in-command of the bugs.
If Heather still feels like playing, Okiamiamyuigi would be a member of the good guys, obviously.
Kal and Tass are still trying to infest or breed a major military fleet, although they now do have enough soldiers to engage in prolonged battles.
Al can let his character do what he's sees fit at this point.
Sound good to everyone? For refernce, this would take place after my fiction.
If all goes well, we could get some very good PvP battles in here.

Whooo! Of course I'm up for it! How long of a time skip, though? Im thinking a couple of weeks at most.
btw, I'm actually going on vacation for once over spring break. More than likely ill be cut off from a computer for about a week starting this saturday. Not really a big problem, as im separate from the group, just for your information.

Dude, I really would love to, but I can't even remember what's been happening and I've even kinda forgotten stats of stuff... I'll have to do some hardcore recalling and thats gonna suck. And I still dont think my schedule will allow much free time, and this time, i'm not kidding... But I really would love to...

the only things I really have to say are: ...is this the info thread for Bughunting?...cuz' I have my character profile, but I don't know where to put it
secondly...my character...err...guess i'll have to go with Cobra's idea for now...cuz' I don't know what side to put him on...so yeah...it'll depend on where the story is so far
finally, will this proceed from the same thread already started...? (I know that's stupid question, but I wanted to know)

We might as well call it the "Times" if you want -- like a huge historic interspacial information center (newspaper). haha.
Last I checked it was the Times Fabric but whatever.
For all you newbies out there, I'm Dr. Dan and am currently working on a project for this board with Cobra and dont have much time on my hands...lotsa stuff to do. Its calmed down a little now so I think I'm going to start posting again, hopefully.
As far as bughunting goes, I am in control of two characters (I made one, decided I didnt really want to use him, made another and used him, and then somebody gave me a really good idea for my other character so I brought him back). I control Kal, (if any of you are D&D players, he looks like a celestial deva), very tall humanoid with gigantic wings and a very large sword. He holds the sword and a staff between his wings. He is from another plane, and is capeable of using what humans call 'magic.' (but never has yet). His kind are seen thoughout human history in the form of "angels" in the scriptures. He is of very evil alignment now, after being taken over by the bugs, and has used his other-plainer knowledge to inbude the bug race with very different technology (the electricity-excited infestations being one of them -- the same infestation that took control of the tesserect). The biological infestation of the bugs allows for other species to be controlled, and the group is slowly falling apart because of this.
My other character is Sirus, a very big techie person, an inventor and an all around nice guy. (He is supposed to reflect me in real life -- or how I would like to be portrayed). He is always up for a joke, as Palla and her group discovered. He was under her command until she decided to leave temporarially, when he heard of her return, he had modified the times fabric so much that he feared her reaction (by this point, the team of scientists who helped him would be better off controling the ship in a fight than the tech crew.) So he left in his personal ship, and his fate is yet to be decided by me.
Controlling two characters is usually frowned upon, and I wouldnt have done it if the group didnt allow, so before anybody decdies they want two characters please ask.

okay, i'm just gonna put up my character here...just everyone knows who he is
if you want to delete it later- go ahead it's here because i'm not sure as to where to actually put it Deimos’ Bughunting character Name: Taisho Reis Alias: ‘Sho’ Race: human Age: 26 Eyes: dark brown Hair: jet black, medium length Height: 6’ Gender: male Profession: “space-pirate” Security Clearance: never really had any...he’s a pirate Specialty: -swordsmanship (assorted styles, primarily fencing) -small firearms (ie pistols, handguns) -fighter-class ship combat Special Move: Buster Shell- when necessary, Sho will use one of the rarer and powerful buster shells- which can equal the power of high energy cannons -shell # 7, 13, 21, and the near impossible to find ‘Zero’ are the needed shells.
Weapon(s) of Choice: -custom Buster Pistol* -custom powered blade (rapier model) -heat chain
Armor and Equipment: -two belt mounted energy generator units: one for the blade, one for the whip -two light shield generators: built into the gloves -protective cloak (light, fireproof, bulletproof*) *only to a degree -authentic pirate hat (sentimental value, think Jack Sparrow) -bandolier: holds 10 buster shells
Star Ship: The Black Squall Chassis: Medium Class Armor: a special “alloy” created from advanced refining, fusing, and deoxidizing technology- very immutable and electrically neutral- almost entirely resistant to change. Engine: 5 primary thrusters, 6 reaction control thrusters -capable of high speed battle and prolonged lightspeed travel Armaments and Equipment: -2x gatling guns side mounted, towards the nose- fixed direction: forward -4x laser turrets (omnidirectional) top and bottom mounted -4x missile packs -10x remote shield pods (planet defensers) -6x anti-missile pods (modified planet defensers) -1x high-power charged particle cannon -mirror surface capability -4x anchors (with boosters of their own) -radar and communication jamming systems -advanced onboard A.I system named “Cygnus” (think Outlaw Star) -the light fighter “The White Squall” attaches to the main body, and also acts as the Black Squall’s emergency escape ship
Star Ship: The White Squall Chassis: Light Fighter Class Armor: same material as the Black Squall Engine: nuclear fusion aero spike (think of Cowboy Bebop, the Swordfish II) Armaments and Equipment: -2x light machine guns- wing mounted, fixed direction -1x low-power charged particle cannon -4x missiles- two per wing *optional*
Bio: A ‘space-pirate’ who traverses the endless sea of stars onboard the CX-001, an advanced military project that he managed to hijack which he renamed: the Black Squall. The ship, with its sarcastic A.I. system-named Cygnus, is Sho’s partner and home all in one. He has some connections with other pirates, but no true allies. He and Cygnus travel making a living off of raids on random military posts, high-class technology corps. and firms, and any wayward ship that fires on him first. He’s garnered a legend from these raids, “the lone captain of the infamous Black Squall...escaper of multiple galactic patrols, destroyer of a hundred battleships, child of the devil itself.” But ‘legend’ is just that, Sho has since disappeared for 5 years following an incident on Pluto.
Sho himself was born on the Pluto, the outcast/penal colony. His parents and ancestors were pirates themselves. Thus, his whole life was spent learning and experiencing the ways of the free-spirited pirate. Around 17 yrs. of age, Sho’s parents tried to raid a top-secret military plant...and failed- they were executed before his eyes (he was at the execution in secret). At that point, he took his father’s blade, modified it- and also took his mother’s buster- then proceeded to finish what they started: and successfully acquired the Black Squall for his efforts.
He is a very laid back, “just do, don’t think” kind of guy. Acts with long-forgotten mannerisms when not in work, but drops all of it when otherwise. In battle, Sho focuses quickly, but still keeps himself entertained in the middle of it- staying away from becoming “too-serious.” His style, and the modifications he’s placed on the Black Squall are designed for ‘hit and run’ tactics. His past travels have given him much knowledge, and there’s little he hasn’t seen. Now, his whereabouts are unknown and in five years- many things change...wether or not he still is what he was, is yet to be seen. And unfortunately for him...when he does resurface...his warrant is still active.
Pros: +highly skilled pilot +clever, wily (when he wants to be) +an excellent shot +knows when to step back +has some connections still remaining from his parents’ day +what seems like insanity is actually Cons: -hard to figure, never know who’s side he’s on -his skills are centered in one-on-one dueling primarily -his most powerful weapon uses hard to find ammo -used to working with only himself (and Cygnus of course) -can get too laid back at times -interstellar cops and bounty hunters abound are still after him
-I modeled him through combining Gene Starwind’s attitude and gunslinging ability (Outlaw Star), Jack Sparrow’s style and wily-ness (Pirates of the Carribean), and Spike Spiegel’s piloting and general combat skills (Cowboy Bebop) .Finally add to that some miniature Gundam weaponry (the powered blade is reminiscent of the heat hawk’s used by Zakus and heat chain is reminiscent of Epyon’s and Tallgeese III’s heat powered ‘chains’ ) and Outlaw Star technology (the Black Squall is based off of Hilda’s Horus and the ‘buster’ guns are based off of the ‘caster’ guns).

Cool, Deimos. Do you already have a plan to integrate him into the story? Just curious

I'd say I would...but that'd be a lie...at the moment my character is kinda down and dormant, his ship is anchored in a forgotten wreck that was never cleaned up...(in other words, his ship is currently hidden amongst a great mass of space junk). I made it so all he needs is a reason to get back into his old ways...maybe meeting any one of you or something along those lines to bring back his pirate spirit.

remember, my guys are leaders in a clan of bounty hunters. I dont think pirates would mix well, lol. But, there is that phrase that friends are made when common enemies and obstacles are found

well...if you read the profile- his warrant is still out...that can cause quite a bit of tension between our characters Bug...that is...if he really wants the bounty (which'll be very big...I just haven't come up with it yet)
as for Dan...will your character be finding himself in a bar anytime soon...?

Hey, Starport Pubs are always open ;D
And didn't you hear what i said? friends are made when common enemies and obstacles are found. My guys have a high sense of duty, so if the problem is greater than a stupid bounty, then of course they'll work with your guy. They won't be happy about it though.

my point exactly...combined with the fact that character already has problems working as team player...god only knows how many player vs. player battles I 'll get stuck in...but that may come out pretty funny
