Anyways, for you naysayers. . . read the books. No movie can do justice to the images in your head. Also, I'm 6'8, on a college wrestling team, and I read Harry Potter, so you can too I read the first book. I didn't like it. It felt like she was forcing every word out and not putting time into it, like she really just wanted to get the money for it. I decided not to bother with the others. I did hear quite a bit of the fourth book on tape though when I was spending a week with one of my friends who lives in NY. It wasn't so bad. I mean, it wasn't so good either, but it wasn't so bad. I can deal with the movies. I decided that a long time ago when I was more or less forced to watch the first one. But I'll never bother with the books. Little kid witches and wizards breaking the rules, getting away with it, and destroying evil...that's not my thing. That's like...that's like anime bad. On that note, please will someone who read the book PM me and tell me what happens in the end because I just want to know who dies. Someone is going to die and I want to know who. Someone better die anyway. And yeah, Voldemort probably is his daddy too. Hehehe. Search your heart Harry, you know it's true.

i didnt feel the stories were forced at all. plot driven, yes, but not forced. and it got kids reading again, so im not complaining. JK Rowling did a great job at creating a universe that children can immerse themselves in, and that older kids can be entertained by the story itself. props to her says i, and ive been reading since the first book.
although i was very dissappointed by the ending. and no, i will not just tell you the ending. if you're so curious, then read the book.

I think I'll just wait for the movie then. I mean. I don't know if I'd even read them, but I know that I definitely don't have the money for buying them if I did.

well, with the price of movies and transportation, it probably amounts to about the same. especially after its in soft cover. i end up paying 12.50 plus subway fare to see a movie out here. the book costs 13 with free shipping. why is NY so expensive last movie i saw was Stardust. very cute, hardcore fantasy chickflick, but entertaining. and, very very pretty. it was a good way to end a stressful week, says i : )

Mmmm. Tried Pandora out for more than a few minutes tonight. I'm warming up to it, once I pick the right band to base the station on. Nothingface seemed to hit it good. Yes, I know I'm a page late.
I wish I went to see more movies : (

Transformers was great. Everything else recently... nothing really jumps out in my memory as being terrific. Everything else, like Chuck and Larry, or the Simpsons Movie... were "ok".

I think this comic sums up how I feel about the chipmunks movie pretty well: www.leasticoulddo.com/comic/20070808I watched it as a kid. I liked it more than some other shows I watched, but there's no way in hell we need a CG movie for them. No way.

media.movies.ign.com/media/746/746237/vid_2097673.htmlHeck freakin yeah!! The Alien vs Predator 2: Requiem movie trailer just came out today and its freakin awesome! And Hussah, its rated R! No more wussy PG-13 AvP action, baby! Its goin hardcore! I think this is also the most deaths I've ever seen in a trailer as well. The movie is gonna be done by a new director too! No more of that guy who did the Resident Evil movies and his obsession with 3D maps (did you ever notice there's a scene with one in every one of his movies?). The creatures are looking great, at least the predators are back to looking normal and not all bulky like in the first movie. It seems the plot will surround yet another bug hunt gone chaotic but takes place in what seems to be the middle of a midwestern american town in the present day (at least it makes more sense than predators appearing in the antarctic when they know they hate the cold). Looks like civilians are gonna be killed left and right and present day military will be trying to fight back (yay, no more scientists!). Also a new design for the predalien appears and I think it looks better than past incarnations. Creature actions look more true to how past movies have shown them (which i appreciate). And the new predator kill toys like the chain whip are lookin pretty sweet. The new female lead I think has some good potential and kinda reminds me of a mix of Ripley and Vasquez from "Aliens", and this daughter character reminds me of Newt. She also seems naturally tough, which is cool and redeeming since i didn't think the chick from the first movie portrayed that well enough. And I'm guessing there's gonna be more plots involving the Wayland Yutani corporation covering everything up in the end and making everyone forget because it was supposed to be that the first encounter of xenomorphs by humans on a massive scale wasn't until "Aliens" which takes place way into the future.
