Hmmm. I kinda got the "cheesy sci-fi lots of gore" vibe from the trailer. I'm hoping it turns out well, and I hope it isn't just 2 hours of xenomorphs getting blown up. (boo me, rooting for the bad guys)

Yeah, I know this movie isn't in theaters anymore, but I finally got to see it so deal with it. Has anyone seen Stranger Than Fiction? That Will Ferrel movie where the guy hears a woman's voice narrating his life. I watched it the other night. It was really, really good. It was a comedy but it also had a lot of dramatic parts in it, and Will Ferrel is surprisingly good at doing drama. I guess he's another one of those versatile comedians, which is my favorite kind personally. Anyone who hasn't seen it has to, definitely.

I've never seen The Truman Show, nor do I know what it's about, but I still love Stranger Than Fiction very much.

I rather enjoyed Stranger Than Fiction as well. I don't see it as completely ripping off The Truman Show, though i can see a few similarities now that you point it out. They're still pretty different stories.
Yo! Big news people! The Iron Man trailer is out! WHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Is that the red and yellow and shiny superhero guy? Or something else like the rock'n'roll guy?

I could be mean and say "wtf? You don't know who Iron Man is?!", but I wouldn't. Yep... totally wouldn't.

There are kind of a few Iron Men though. Not to mention an Iron Maiden as well. ;D

haha, yes the Iron Man is looking quite good...exceptional CG work on their part.
However, I say the last run of Old Action Heroes is what I want to see...for better or worse, by that I mean movies featuring the original action heroes of movies that set the action standards...Stallone with a final Rocky, Willis with a fourth (final?) Die Hard both went well... and now we have the long awaited Indiana Jones IV...a final Rambo...and yet another Terminator...although i'm not sure if Arnie is going to be part of that one yet.
all the old guys are giving it at least one more go to show how the old school gets it done...before the new school officially takes over.
Oh...and for the sake of asking/saying...return of the 80's anyone? a Thundercats movie is in the works...yes, that's right...the series with what is quite possibly the single most useless special weapon ever seen is getting its silver screen shot.

Thundercats is news to me! Add the talks of an american-made Robotech movie to that and you do have quite an old-school comeback, huh...?
Although... personally I think Robotech, if it ever works out, won't be very good, unfortunately. As big a fan of the original animation as I am, I just don't think it can be done as a live-action movie. The Zentradi? I mean come on, how are you going to bring an idea like that to modern audiences?

Ah I forgot about that one...i'm not too sure how it'll play out...especially if they decide to do it as a Robotech film specifically...if they choose simply to cap off at the end of the original Macross saga of that, then maybe...otherwise they're in too far over their heads...
-oh, and to just to add to my initial comment, there'll be another 2 or 3 Terminator movies...they've been green-lit
