Adam considered dispersing the smoke through alchemical means, but decided that it served as effective cover. He would rather attack from somewhere hidden than try to dodge the blades of the Cardinals.
Pulling a red metallic marble from his satchel, Adam knelt to the ground. The tattoos on his arms began to glow slightly, and in his palm the marble quivered a little, then melted into a mercury-like form. Adam slammed his palm flat on the ground, connecting his reagent with the ground. A few feet in front of him, the ground appeared to sprout spikes, as fist-shaped extensions shot up and connected with the chin of one of the remaining Cardinals. He dropped to the ground.
Peering through the steadily clearing smoke, Adam saw the guy who had seemed to be in charge. He didn't look so cocky as he was before. Adam focused and began to mold the ground for his next assault.

One of the underling Cardinals manages to scrounge his way out of the thick cloud of smoke and decided to take this chance to make a run for it. Whatever weapon he had in his hands he seemed to have dropped it since he was now unarmed. He may have been a bully, but this one was young and didn't have the experience to build up his courage against greater adversity.
"This is crazy! I'm getting out of here!" Says the Cardinal.
Egakino, observing from above, takes notice, "Hey, that one's trying to escape. I guess I should stop him"
He takes chase, moving to the end of the rooftop and then jumping down below, just behind the culprit.
"Halt! You're not going anywhere!" Then, with a swift movement he puts out his hands as if in a spell casting gesture with fingers portruding forward. The Cardinal then freezes in place, unable to budge or move any muscle.
The Cardinal is shocked, "Wha? What's going on?! Hey, what is this?"
Egakino does a few more gestures to make the Cardinal turn around. He's been put under his control as if like a puppet! "I'm sorry, lad, but something tells me that I shouldn't let you go, at least not yet. I dont know why but I'm gonna trust it."
The Cardinal didn't have much of a chance to get far before Egakino intervined. The two are only a few yards away from the rest of the conflict.
((well thats one cardinal completely disabled. I have Egakino putting him under a "Puppetry Enchantment". I'm guessing from past numbers that this means there's now 2 left standing, including the boss))

From the sounds he heard, Adam guessed that not many of the Cardinals still stood, and those who had jumped to Adam's aid seemed to be doing just fine. He wanted to be sure, however, that these guys got what they deserved. It was only fitting for the bullying they obviously made a habit of.
Through the smoke, Adam captured a glimpse of the Cardinal's boss. Clenching his fists, the ground rippled in front of him, stumbling the already confused Cardinal. Quickley, Adam straightened his fingers and thrusted his arms upward, the ground mimeing his motions. The Cardinal boss stood in terror as the ground around him rose up and encased him from the waist down. It was as if his upper body were placed on a pedastle. He wasn't going anywhere.

After assisting Will, the imp ran off to find its partner, which had actually managed to find the little girl amidst all the chaos. Being unable to speak, they guided the girl out of harm's way as best they can using only arm gestures. The two then stood guard and waited for the rest to settle.
Meanwhile, Cirrus not quite sure what he was doing, inadvertently ran into the last Cardinal standing. And before he could react, Cirrus manages to land a very swift blow to his chest using his hammer, knocking the man back a good few feet- landing next to what looked like a creature that was half man-half road...
"What the blazes?!"
Cirrus then quickly notices the man draped in red across from him...who very much seemed to have the situation handled.
"oh...heh...guess I wasn't needed after all"
((and I believe after that...they should all be disabled no? Unless Adam feels like burying the one I hit with the hammer))

Nenet felt a slight stirring of wind and hoped that it would be enough to clear the smoke away. Having already seen small stone creatures, a man made entirely motionless, and a number of pillars growing straight out of the ground, she had a good feeling the people who had caused it all were the adventuring type. The fight was dying down at last so she continued walking in the general direction of the crowd, hoping she might be able to find some business with whoever came out still standing.

((wow, we actually finished a fight in less than two weeks! And without any casualties! Apple juice for everyone!!))
"Ah, looks like things are finally settling down. Lets say we go resolve this matter, eh?" says Egakino to his prisoner who is then forced to lead the way back to the town center. The Cardinal continues to resist the "Puppetry" thats being done to him but it only succeeds in making his step movements look extra awkward. Egakino is close behind him moving his hands in the air as if there were invisible string handles in his hands.
A breeze clears up whats left of the smoke and for the first time Egakino now has a clear view of all the participants of the scuffle. Quite the motley crew they appear to be. He didn't recognize a single one of them and they in turn didn't really seem to know each other either. The ground is littered with the knocked out bodies of the rest of the Cardinals along with one literally "attached" to the ground. Egakino finds the sight rather humorous as well as impressive. He then addresses those that are standing, "Hi there! I managed to stop this one before he could get away." He then lets go of his control over the Cardinal, who then falls over from exhaustion from trying to resist the enchantment. "So who's responsible for this shindig? Or was this an open party?"

As the smoke began to clear, and as the situation settled, Will began to notice just how many would-be heroes there were. He slowly counted each out loud.
Rubbing a bruise over his eye, and looking to the others, he exclaims, "Ni figa sebe! I thought it was only three of us! If I had known you had this many friends, little girl, I would have just watched... heh, ow..."

Nenet made her way to the exhausted Cardinal who had collapsed onto the ground. She kneeled and took the necklace from around his neck, noticing the others all had been wearing the same thing. The man looked at her with confusion. She raised an eyebrow.
"Infamous?" she asked the man, who suddenly realized she intended on giving it to the authorities so that they could properly punish them.
She stood and tucked the necklace into a fold in the cloth wrapped around her waist. Now that the smoke had finally cleared out, she could get a good look at all of the participants of the fight. They were a very diverse bunch, and they didn't seem familiar with each other either. She took a moment to note how each of the "heroes" had fought. It seemed that only one of them had used a real physical weapon of sorts.
She also finally saw what they were fighting about as she noticed a small girl mixed in with them. She felt a little guilty for not helping the girl as well, but she would have had no way of telling which side was attacking or defending.
She glanced at each of the fighters. "You're ok?"

A softspoken girl in a hood now stepped into the town center from behind Egakino asking if the rest were ok. But it seemed in such a soft tone that it bordered along creepy.
"Um, riight. Did you just steal that shiny necklace? Cus thats wut it looked like"

The little girl looked around, seeing the whole group. Then, hearing Will's comment, she turned and looked at him, revealing large, gold-flecked purple eyes. "Perhaps you should have stayed out of it, engineer. After all, you certainly didn't help much."

((Not softspoken...she speaks only a little but it always carries weight with it because of that. If she says something, it's because she feels it needs to be said )) Nenet looked at the one dressed as a joker with a slight frown. "It's evidence," she said, keeping her voice calm. She lifted the necklace up out of her robes and held in front of him and the others then pointed to the necklaces on each of the other beaten men. "Their gang symbol," she explained, thinking that they would understand the importance of having proof for the authorities.

Composing himself, and preparing for what may be another fight, he says, "This day keeps getting better and better...!"

Gustav looked around at the unusual collection of people about him. Having cleared the smoke with a cool breeze, he could see that there were quite a few of them, along with a scattering of Cardinals. He listened to the after-battle banter being passed around, but was most intently focused on the little girl who had been the catalyst of the scuffle.
She didn't act like most girls would.

((shouldn't the boss who's half cemented to the ground be saying something to us by now? I'd imagine he'd be pist))
"Ahh, 'evidence'. Then that would be correct, miss." says Egakino as he turns his attention toward to others again. He then notices the little girl and overhears something that clues him to the fact that they were defending her from the bullies and therefore was the reason for the fisticuffs. "What? How horrible. What could possibly bring a human being to harming such an innocent little child?"
He then makes his way towards the little girl. "My dear, you must be in complete shock. Here, i have something that would make you feel better." He pulls out a large shiny coin. "Now you see it... Now you don't!" Nothing like the ol' dissappearing trick, "*gasp* Where could it have gone? Wait a tick, there's something behind your ear! Why that's where the coin went! Here, you can keep it."
As he gives the coin to the little girl, Egakino is all smiles. On the flipside, the girl unfortunately has been somewhat less than impressed by the silly clown in front of her and looks upon him with irritated eyes. The others are rather baffled as well. The girl then says with a not so enthusiastic tone, "gee... thanks..."
A little broken by the absense of laughter but our Blue Jester moves on, "Hrm, that trick usually always works.... ah well, onwards and upwards." He gets up, pats his hands and turns around, "Soooooo... who are all you people?"

((Sorry, I guess I should have mentioned this. The little girl is gonna be my GMPC for a while, so please don't speak for her.))
The little girl stared at the man as he pulled his cheap vanishing trick. "Don't patronise me, clown. I may be a child, but I'm at least as intelligent as you." She looked him over again, and smirked. "Actually, probably quite a bit more, judging by that ridiculous outfit..."
