her works are considered very highly in the genre of shoujo manga/anime...maybe not to the level of the mighty Rumiko Takahashi, but up there nonetheless.

yea, a lot of bookstores have it that way:
shelves dedicated to Yu Watase- usually containing Fushigi Yuugi and Ceres
and shelves dedicated to Rumiko Takahashi- usually containing InuYasha, Ranma 1/2, and Maison Ikkoku

cant say ive heard of any of those authors... guess im not much of a manga person... i read stephen king and anne rice, but thats not anime, so ill keep my mouth shut here  |

Yuu Watase is extremely gifted, especially w/ the Ayashi no Ceres series. That was a good choice, Pix.  Oh, some news that is related to the creators of manga! Naoko Takeuchi married the creator of Yu Yu Hakasho! Sailor Moon + Yu Yu Hakasho =  |
