Will's anime reviews ;D:
Call me crazy but I'm growing to like Fooley Cooley. And yes, FLCL is the abriviation of Fooley Cooley.
If you had to sum up fooley cooley you couldn't, because it dosn't have a main point. There is no theme, no main focus, no nothing... stuff just happens. Random stuff. And that's why I like it.
There are four primary characters:
The main character is a boy who uncontrolably sprouts giant, evil robots out of his forehead. His brother's girlfriend is crazy, and since this 'brother' has left for america, she is now turning her attention to the main character. In fact, she's so crazy, it turns out she is an alien... or something... . Then there's a girl who rides around on a yellow moped running people over. After running both the main character and his dad over, she decided to live with them. She also has a gas powered gitar, which she uses to fight the robots that come out of the main character's head. And the final main character is a Robot that came out of the kids head, he now lives with them. He can also eat the kid, and doing so makes him more powerful. Then he can, literaly, crap the kid back out.
Freaky, freaky, freaky. Oh, did I mention they live in a town that has a giant, mountin-sized clothes iron in the middle of it?
As for blue gender, it isn't much for storyline. Cliched, "Aliens invade earth, kill most the humans, humans escape to space and start to fight back". But, what it lacks in storyline, it makes up in action. Big robots killing bug-aliens in cool fight sequences. What more could you really want? The remaining humans travel in mobile combat armors. The robots are pretty cool looking. The aliens are also pretty cool looking. Unfortunatly, the main character is not too well drawn, in my oppinion. But, in the end, it all comes down to cool robots beating the crap out of giant bugs.
