Actually, Joe did that to me the other day. He said I was grounded from videogames becuase my teacher called and said I wasn't doing my homework. The thing is, though, I'm already banned from all computers and videogames anyway, 'cuase I "Don't do anything for anyone and don't deserve anything". I asked him what the difference was and all he said was "It's different."
Luckily he's only home on tuesdays and wednesdays. You know, I never thought a Biker/Neo-Nazi/Police Officer was possable till I met him.

err...okay...
ummm...back to anime...
BIG O got awarded best Mecha in the Anime Insider magazine- and I, quite frankly- believe it deserves it. The mech itself is nothing like a Gundam, very very much a throwback to retro designing (I absolutely love its design, totally unique). It has huge popeye-like arms, to very small head. Weaponry is also of no shortage: a set of missile launchers, multiple gatling and machine guns, the "chrome buster" (a very powerful laser beam), two massive piledrivers, chain anchors, eye lasers, and finally...the all consuming power of its primary weapon: the BIG O cannon...it fires a MASSIVE energy beam so powerful that needs to anchor itself securely or get blown to bits by the recoil.

The BIG O Cannon? What's that? I thought its strongest weapon was the chrome buster... that's when he makes that power-rangers like motion with his arms, and shoots the beam from his forehead, right?

ah...the BIG O cannon is used only ONCE...and that's in the final episode (26)
it does the arm movements, the the pads on the arms open up, the shoulders and chest open up, then in a really cool sequence- a large tube-like mechanism comes out of the chest with the golden cap (the thing at the center of its body, with three holes) on the top- while in the cockpit, the controls all switch, and floor panels change, after that- all the chain anchors fire into the ground, and finally the tube and the body glows and forms a glowing barrier as the golden cap starts to spin...then a huge ball of energy forms at the tip, and turns into a beam of pure destructive energy...and once its all over...the whole tube-like mechanism falls off the body, revealing a smoldering hot core.

I liked gundam more than big-o, but then again I never really got attached to big-o...not that its bad, just never quite acctually sat down to get into it.
I dont have cable now so it dosnt matter

Gundam... ahh. Not Gundam Wing. THat's like DBZ with robots- bright flahes and big explosions over and over.
Well, its not THAT bad. But I don't like any show where the good guy can, on his own, destroy a million badguys with no trouble.
The original gundam sagas are cooler... 08th MS Team is my favorite so far... a little too mushy at times, but it was really cool. Nice animation, nice story, and the war progressed well... Zeon is winning, then the Gundam is devolped, and the Federation is winning, but then Zeon comes out with more upgraded suits and things are even again...
It was really cool. ;D

will what the hell is up with you lately?
You used to LOVE dbz like CRAZY and you used to LOVE GUNDAM WING like CRAZY even WAY more than dbz -- you LOVED LOVED LOVED It and we would talk about it for hours and you collected the models and you asked me to videotape the movie on cartoon network for you and I think I did not sure and then all of a sudden you hate it? What up with you? It was an awesome show dont you remember anything? The action and coolness the coolfights the everything? If you are saying that the gundams are way overpowered and that makes it not cool -- then why do you like megaman or zero or vash or anyone else that is super cool because they are cool and more powerful than everybody else -- your making me worry about you....

uh... yea! what he said! Any show I liked at one time, I stay liking it. Hell I still like Pokemon... and the original Power Rangers, but not the new stuff, they suck.  |

My tastes change. Some thing I liked when I was younger I don't like anymore... that's perfectly acceptable. Gundam Wing, DBZ, Pokemon... I don't like any of those things, even though I LOVED them when I was younger. Tastes change...  Whats up with that? Why, dan, do you like Barny still? I don't, but I used to wath that when I was younger. |
