Several hours later, Krysta and Kayla arrived on the scene...only to find a few slain rich people. "We arrived too late." he said. "Energy source heading toward Alpha Quadrant....but this unit is too slow to catch up..."

"We'll have to find something to help us then." Kayla laughed to herself picturing her companion on horseback, that just wouldn't work. Perhaps if he rode in the back of a wagon?

Krysta began to think. "Maybe if we could somehow find a way to transport this unit without suffering from inhibited speed...." he began, no useful ideas really coming to mind.....

"I'll take a look around the bazaar and see if I can't come up with anything. Perhaps it would be better if you stayed where you are."
Kayla disappeared from view only to arrive back smiling an hour later. Being drug behind her was a large shaggy rug.
"Don't ask where I got it, just get on the damned thing alright? No, it doesn't fly. It just hauls ass along the street, or so I overheard. Who knows?"

Krysta obeyed Kayla's orders and stepped onto the rug, as she requested.....

Kayla climbed on behind her companion, tried wrapping her tiny arms around his waist, and had to settle with gripping one arm instead. She then whispered a short phrase quietly. The run instantly took off like a bat out of hell knocking over a fruit stand, a snake charmer, and an old crone in the process.
"Will you find out how to control this damn thing?"

"Aa..affirmative.." Krysta stumbled, then placed both hand-chunks on the rug before going completely motionless. He was now attempting to coerce the rug to change directions and head for what he knew as Alpha Quadrant....town square.

His clumsy attempts at steering were not lost on Kayla. This thing, not matter how fast, was a major pain in the ass. Hopefully it would get better with practice, if not. . . well perhaps somebody might get hurt.

Krysta then regained motion. "Perhaps manual steering would be the best course of action.." he said, placing Kayla in front. "This unit does not have the appendages needed for such duties."
OOC: The diffrence? Kayla has fingers and Krysta does not.

Previously (so you don't have to read back) I fell, woke up in a church, and met a crazy minister dude. Sorry I took so long, not much time...
Hours later...
Fargo walked slowly down the vacant street, avoiding the thin spheres of light projected by torches placed every few meters on either side. He wobbled, somewhat unsure of his conciousness and of his motives for this midnight waltz through the town. He only knew that he needed to do this, whatever this may be.
'I... really need to rest. Maybe I'll stop here for a second....' he though to himself.
No! You will keep moving, Fargo, and don't stop until the objective is accomplished!
Fargo winced at the forceful thought, his mind suffering. He continued on his way.

Great, just what I need. The big lug holding on to me, squeezing the life out of me because he's scared of my driving. Hell, I'm scared of my driving. If we're going to stop that thing, I guess me both better just get over it. Alright, here goes.
Kayla grabbed the front corners of the rug and began to steer, rather half-assed. While not the best, it was still an improvement over her companion's driving.
"You're going to have to tell me where to go" she screamed back at her companion.
As she moved her eyes back to the road in front of her, the rug collided with the edge of a produce cart.
"Damn, and don't make me have to talk to you. See what you made me do."

"Head right here!" Krysta yelled, holding on for dear life, not wanting to fall off the rug and risk damage.....

Kayla turned right barely avoiding a small cluster of children, she didn't avoid the pig that was standing in the middle of the road. The impact nearly knocked her loose from the rug.
"I hope you know where you're going."
As she spoke the words the rug seemed to take on a life of its own. It lifted up from the ground and began to soar higher and higher into the air. When it was approximately one hundred feet off the ground, it began to move horizontally once again. . . .

Krysta peered over the edge, then noticed the figurine standing there, in the center of town. "Over there!" he said, pointing at the figurine. "Target spotted!"

The rug took off like it had a life of its own. Screaming downward at an ungodly rate, and angle. Kayla screamed in terror as she flew over the end of the rug, barely catching herself on its ends. The rug continued to plummet, flying directly towards the entity that they were chasing.
