Im not really sure why im making this thread now, seeing as alot of out RPGs are idle, but just in case we get a wave of inspiration to start posting or a flood of new members or something, ill make this now this thread is for people/characters who want in on one of the already existing RPGs. people can be pretty picky about the characters that play in their RPGs, and this thread is just to insure that the character you create will 'fit in' with the other characters already playing. its also to make sure characters arent overpowerful, invincible, super-unique, etc., ect. I figured i might as well make this thread so we can have all of the new arrivals in one place, instead of having all the separtate 'info' threads in the role playing board. this way, we can get all the new players squared away in this thread then introduce them into the RPGs and enter them into the info threads. im just opening a spot for the discussion of new characters. just and FYI for new members: - Most RPGs have an already made character sheet to fill out. if you cant find the one your looking for, just ask
- if you want some info on the universe your character is entering or want some tips on what kind of charatcers are found in said universe, feel free to ask about that too
- dont just make a generic character and try to stick him/her into an RPG, make sure you know the universe or RPG that you're entering
- this thread is where the creators of the RPGs give you the Okay to join. dont be dismayed if they ask you to change something. but, im sure that wont happen too often. all of us here are pretty easy going and welcome new and different characters/ideas
- Be Creative!

Does that mean I can be an uber-smart beetle that runs around with laser guns inside a combat mech?

well. . . creative, not crazy. as Cass said, were all pretty easygoing, and while I enjoy your sence of humor Coral, I'm also pretty serious about some of these RPGs. Maybe i wouldnt have the power to veto your uber smart beetle mech-zoid thingiemabobber, but i certainly wouldnt enjoy it. anywho, have fun! we've also had my kaiou-tur who used to be protoss who used to be fremen. things change

policeman? well this is a medival RPG remeber... but anyway, how about you show us what you mean by making the character now. you can just copy and paste one of the character sheets in the 'medieval RPG info thread' on the other RPG board and change it for your character. then well see what you mean. (ack! all you guys keep changing avatars! i keep thinking coral is tass and tass is coral and that the new member catarax is really bughunter and all that jazz... lol. i guess im pretty easy to keep track of cuz im the only girl left here... )

yeah, except for... well, yeah, you're right.
And yeah, some of the RPGs I take seriously, specifically RERPG (which is long dead) and Soul Saber, which comes and goes.
As for a policeman, their are town guards and soldiers, and stuff like that, which is pretty much the same thing. We're in the east right now, which means, if your native to the area, you have the option to be a mage, but you can't use technology. Of course, you can be a forigner. But being able to use both magic and technology means you are either bad at one, or only so-so in both. Fighting is universial, obviosly.

Obviously im going to be western! Do you take me for a fool? Lightning guns rule all! Im planning on being a sort of 'foreign exchange officer' and helping to police the area. Most notably, tracking down run-away criminals from the west. In fact, ill be a medieval uber-smart de-evolved beetle that rides a steam-powered mech with automatic crossbows . Look out for beetles in the tesseract, for one is coming. And as for the lightning gun, I plan on it being a mix of eastern magic and western techology.

Such lightning guns exist- They are Magitechnology, they come from the land of Katyr. Rare, but they DO exist. And there was an adventure planned where we went there... but who knows where were going next. As for the forign exchange cop... Funny you should mention that!! As it just so happens... Me and Katt are both fugitives from the west. Falsely accused... sorta... but fugitives nonetheless! Our characters will get along great . Now, to fill in on everything so far: It began in the northern city of Northport. An Eastern port on the central sea. Two western adventurers, calling eachother Cobra and Katt, disembark their ship. They are wanted in the West for accidently plundering a royal tomb, and they are wanted in the east for the muder of a noble they didn't kill. Just their luck. They very soon meet up with Kal and Tass, a High Mage and his student. They also find that they have been being trailed by Tanyu, a demon-hunter from the far East, because he was drunk out of his brains and couldn't think of anything better to do. And so forms the adventuring party! Along their journies, a Demon from Tanyu's past attacks the group, using a group of Giants. Nearby, they find a town infected with zombies. After finding the last survivors, the group gets together to plan an assault on the demon's cave with their newfound (and short lived) ally Fighter. During the battle with the Baatezu, a type of winged demon (sortof an anti-angel), Will perishes, but not before wounding the demon's sword arm. The wounded demon is then overpowered by the remaining group. After the battle, Tass revives Will using a sortof limit break technique. Will finds the demon's sword is still lodged in his chest, however. A strange sword, really, one who's blade seems to be invisible unless someone is holding it. They keep it for later. Fastforward a bit. The group finds themselves in Pyralis, a large Far Eastern city, which is in the middle of a rebelion. Lordsmith, a man battling for the total supremecy of magi, becomes the groups next target. Assaulting his castle with the town guard, we find him and learn that our mysterious new sword, called the Soul Saber, is actually a very powerful and legendary weapon, that channles the very warrior spirit of the wielder into a weapon. A battle with Lordsmith and two of his Golem Servants ensues, which is the battle we are in right now.

lol, i though westerners were supposed to be rare in the east, we have three in one group. plus, i really dont think the east would hire a western cop. easterners think westerners are distrustful. and so forth and so on. and i really hope your kidding about the beetle thingie . soul saber is one of our most serious RPGs, so just keep that in mind...

Name: Coral Zentoren Alias: Coral Race: Human, Westerner Age: 29 Eyes: Black Hair: Black Height: Small Gender: Male Profession: Soldier Specialty: Warfare Special Move: "Disable": More or less, a channeled bolt of extra accurate lightning shot from his rifle at someones leg or arm. Weapons of Choice: -Magitechnology Lightning Rifle -Western Pistol -Grenades -A small, throwable dagger Armor and Equipment: - Special western alloys carved eastern style and enchanted. Magic: None, for he is a magicless bastard Bio: He grew up as the weakest boy in his class. The strongest boys always bullied him, and eventually, he decided to become a cop. One of those boys he met again, and it wasnt pretty. Fugitives on the run to the east were asking for trouble, and he was sent aboard the Euderon heading for the east, to track them down. Heavily armed, he will stop at nothing to make sure those criminals die. Pros: A sense of humour Accurate Cons: Shoot first, ask questions later. Takes bribes. Low arm strength

So is my Coral Zentoren (Version 2: Medieval. Note that all my characters will be weak with their arms, but fast and accurate with guns n stuff. And I will usually prefer crossbows and mechanical weapons like guns to bows and swords) accepted into the next chapter?

well, the only thing i have some objections to is the fact that he uses guns as his main weapon. this is a Medieval RPG rememeber. guns and bullets, which do exist, are very very rare in the east. like rare enough so they wouldnt be a main weapon. me and will are both westerners, and each of us has only used our guns barely once each since the creation of this RPG. plus, having someone who uses guns only would kina put a damper on melee weapons dont you think? plus, the eastern technology is nothing even close to what it is today. i imaginge the western technology being big and clunky, not really accurate or efficiant or anything.
