Hey good idea Will, i went there too. My MOS is 18c Special Operations Engineer. According the the description, i handle navigation(maps and such), sabotage details, interpreting and preparing combat orders, and all kinda of other cool sounding stuff. Sounds like a leadership type job to me, Ill take Captain, unless there are complaints?

No complaints here, and with that MOS it makes sense to have you in a leadership type position. ;D I think I'll stay with my 54B as far as pre-special forces MOS. Chemical Operations Specialist. (what I was when I was in)

Um, Tassatul, I kinda wanted the intelligence officer position but if you REALLY want it, you can have it. Besides, Bughunter keeps annoying me out of my fucking wits that im probably not going to be on this board much longer.

oh, well if your really going to let one person bother you so much, that you can entirely forget about the rest of the things this board has to offer, then by all means, we cant stop you. and dont swear if your not kidding. its not nice.
and i like tass as the leader. plus, i think hes going to be more of an 'on the feild' type of person then a 'back at hq' type of person. you can still be the 'back at hq' person if you want, like the person we get in touch with when we need it (thats what you were looking for, right?). i dunno what it would be called formally or anything though...

Hmm, i sense much anger in you, grasshopper. please... And aha! He cursed without even censoring himself.
I'm still observing whether I'll join this rpg. Once I see how you guys organize yourself I'm sure I'd love to join.

So, it sounds like everybody is just about ready to kick things off. So, where will we create the charecters for the rpg? Should we just post them in this thread?

We're a special forces, or special operations (yes there is a BIG difference), so we should be handling tactical missions. Unless the directive that we receive is something like getting the local population to rise up and revolt. I think the option is actually in the hands of the players. Intellegence officer has almost absolute power in that regard.

Don't let one person ruin something that you enjoy. If he's making you miserable, ignore him.

well coral, its not like us mods and admins, the people who put this board together, like hearing 'i dont like your board im leaving'. i mean really. i think this is something you gotta talk out with bughunter not me. plus, i may be a mod, but hes a special case. if you wanna get technical, hes got seniority over me anyway. ive done what i could, so maybe you two should work it out.
but for what its worth, ease up on him bughunter.
and thats about all thats in my power to do.
but anyway, let put these trivial matters aside and get back to the RPG. i think we could kick this thing off if you wanna. i mean, we need a mission and a setting first i guess though.

That we do. Since the premise was fighting communism I'm thinking that we could do south east asia or eastern europe. We can start off doing basic commando raids, assassinations, kidnapping, and the like. It will boil down to what the intelligence has to say for us though.

You'd have to do a little more than that I'm afraid. Basic informaion about the type of situation that we'd be involved in. Possible enemy troops in the area, attitudes of the civilians in the area, possibility of chemical warfare (could help you with that one), all kinds of responsibilities. As far as knowing exactly where the enemies are, you might know, you might not. Maybe, we're being sent in to find them. Seek and destroy style mission? Many possibilities and you have the option of setting it up however you like.
We just have the right to modify the scenario through game play.
