Off topicness: Has america ever used chemical weapons on enemies?
...Besides tear gas. I know technically tear gas is a chemical weapon... but that's like comparing paintball guns to real guns, from what I know anyway.

Well, I'm sure Abashai would.
I'm just wondering. Because why does every major country build and develop weapons like that, yet the only people who would use them are their enemies?

To answer your question, yes. We and just about every other developed nation at the time used chemical weapons during the first World War. We've spent time building stock piles as a deterant aginst others using them against us. However, I'm not sure why. Our policy is SUPPOSED to be, use bio, or chem, or even a small nuke and get turned into a glass parking lot.
Back on topic:
Name: Seargent Pete Davenport Age: 25 Rank: Seargent Previous MOS: 54B Chemical Operations Specialist Specialty: Communication Crosstraining: Sniping
Pete Davenport grew up in a small Midwestern town. His father raised him, and from his father he learned all about hunting, riflemanship, survival techniques and a laundry list of other outdoor skills. When he graduated from highshool (top 10% of his class), he chose to enter the military as a means of paying for college in the future. After two years in the chemical field, he opted to attend ranger training. This he passed with flying colors. The rangers sent him through sniper school and there he also excelled. While the rangers are considered to be a step above the rest of the army, they are not considered the elite. Pete decided to go through special forces training. With great effort Pete was able to go through the incredible training neseccary to wear the green beret. Years of training have honed his communication skills, and his skill with a rifle has not as of yet declined in the least.
Strengths: Sniping, camo, communications, phyically tough, grasp of NBC weapons,
Weaknesses: Overconfidant in his abilities, tends to think outside normal mission parameters, holds the people he respects in too high a regard and will do ANYTHING for them, these people typically include his crew.

Here we go
Name: Adam "Tass" Tassulk Age: 31 Rank: Captain Previous MOS: 18c Special Operations Engineer Specialty: Command Crosstraining: Heavy Weapons
Adam Tassulk, born in NYC, always wanted to be in the military, and his high grades made him prime officer material. He, however, couldnt stand deskwork while others risked their lives. Soon, he became so skilled at battlefield decisions that he was put in charge of his own special forces squad.
(not my best bio, but my military backrounds iffy, not much to work with. Btw, maybe we could be like a newly formed group? Like, we were chosen as the best of the best to create a special squad, and our first mission could be where we get to know how each other reacts. And whats our group name? Maybe some cool mythical creature of something else equally cool sounding)

Name: Soren Menosa Age: 29 Rank: 2nd Lieutenant Previous MOS: ((Coming Soon) Specialty: Intelligence Crosstraining: Unconventional Warfare
Soren Menosa. He immigrated from Germany, and is skilled in non-combative warfare. Rather than hunking lead at the enemy, he briefs the soldiers on how to hunk the lead at the enemy. Coming from a long line of millitary soldiers, from the Napoleonic Era to World War 2, he is prepared to die. Unfortunately, he is not prepared to kill, and will not directly harm anyone else. He is also physically weak, though fast.
Strengths: Sorting out information, a large database of uncommon knowledge
Weaknesses: Physically weak, psychologically incapable of killing.

Okay lets get this thing rolling. So far only three people have posted in the thread. We can begin, I suppose, by meeting each other. We should be able to get some training in as well. It ought to be interesting depending on the mission Coral cooks up for us.

Where is the RP taking place? I think it should be malaysia. Perhaps the communists are invading malaysia and singapore to get control of the oil trade, which would thus put them at an economical advantage.

well, im ready to get this show on the road ;D
Name: Cassidy 'Katt' Kattenelli Age: 25 Rank: private Previous MOS: Aviation Operations Specialist (15P) Specialty: demolitions Crosstraining: piloting
bio: Cassidy joined the military, knowing she didnt want to be a pencil pusher. She opted for support-on-the-feild type work, so she diecided she would go into demolitions and piloting. even though shes usually only lightly equipped with firearms, she knows how to rig a bomb that would blow a wall to kingdom-come. her philosophy is that its easier to go through something then around it. reguradless of her enthusiasm and expertise in her job, she knows how to keep her cool underpressure. shes not easily shaken and isnt afraid of much. thats why she opted for the military.

I was thinking about doing the training for the mission in the southern us which is nice high heat and humidity. From there we can go wherever you decide to bring us. Remember it's your intel that decides where we go.

Sounds alright to me. We meet, get briefed by Coral, do some training(a few weeks? we can skip ahead in time) then head off on our first mission.
