((heh...sorry, I've had very VERY little time..but thankfully, Katt picked up where I left off...now i'll pitch in to the effort))
*After Katt had found the driving center of the portal device, and shut it down. The strange aura that Sho had been sensing, literally dissolved. He stood observing as everything in the observatory "died." Afterwards, he kicked up his naginata, scoffed, and let out a hearty laugh*
Sho: "hehehe...hahahahaha...HAHAHAHAHA....that's it?! That's all it took eh? hell...I wouldn't have figured that one out for my life. Anyways, I guess we're done...right?"
maybe it's just my training...but something doesn't feel right...oh the hell with it...No need to ruin the moment

*Tass walked into the tower's front entrance, and the first thing he noticed was that everything felt "dead." A few peices of furniture were overturned, as if there had been some struggle, but other than that, the place was empty*
Perhaps Katt has already disabled whatever was in the tower. . .
*He walked through the rooms, following subtle clues to find where his friends had been. His shades moved with him, searching for any danger to Tassatul's person, but finiding none. The tower was eerily devoid of enemies*
*Soon, Tass came upon some mahagony doors which would have been cleverly concealed behind a bookcase, but someone had left the entryway open. As he stepped into the room, he heared male laughter from inside. His shades formed a phalanx in front of him, responding to the uncertainty in Tassatul's thoughts*
I hope thats Sho. . .

((ooc: recap - dragons dead, i was about to enter the tower to help but its dead now, Abishai's character and creature are no shows, Tass has shades, Sho's laughing crazily, and Will is somewhere inside, and we should start thinking about a new quest... i think i got it))
*Tanyu was entering the tower when everything just seemed to come to a whirring stop in it*
Tanyu: "Well... Guess I missed the party. Might as well find and regroup with the others"

"well.. no need to stick around here any longer than we have to, lets get out of here and regroup with the others. i was hearing a mojor ruckus coming from out there, so maybe they could still use a hand. lets head out."
*Katt heads out towards the heavy oak doors of the observatory. on her way out, her sticky fingers manage to coax a few more ornate viles and bottles into her pack.. for safe keeping of course.*

Sho:"time to fly then..."
*Sho being close to the doors as is, reaches to open them...but temporarily pauses and notions Katt to stop*
Sho: "...hold it...i'm feeling something from the other side of this door...although...it's not quite the same as that which came from the machine..."
*Different indeed, what Sho felt...didn't seem "right"...like the quintessence of wandering souls around a mass of radiating spiritual energy...different yet familiar...Of course, with extra energy burning from lack of a good battle within the past few moments; Sho disregards all of his training, logical thought processes, and performs a flying kick through the doors and before he even comes to land he lunges out his naginata. It comes to a quick halt...the blade end was stopped by a rather ghastly looking green figure, ghost...thing...and finally notices why what he felt was rather familiar...*
Sho: "...erm...Tass...sorry...hehehe...got a little antsy"
((hope nobody minds...just thought i'd try a pinch of humor, can alter if wanted))

((No, its exactly the responce I'd hoped for  )) *Upon the flourishing arrival of Sho, the shades had floated into position, ready to defend Tass. Needless to say, they were a tad confused at their master's reaction of elation, when one of them had already absorbed a naginata blade. But they held off their attack*"Sho, Katt! Please, disreguard my shades. . . they're merely, ah, concerned for my safety. Not that they are entirely conscious, its more of a pairing of my own emotions and a basic survivalist predatory mind. Most likely the mind of the dragon Tanyu and I managed to kill. . . but I'm rambling! Whats the situation in here? I'm assuming you found that portal or whatever, the amount of paranormal energy in the area has dropped" *The shades shift around, waiting for something to attack |

*Tanyu finally enters the room everyone else was at. Although not really wanting to chat much he did notice Tass's shades for the first time. He didn't see him summon them from the dead dragon outside*
Tanyu: "Hm, interesting..."
*As if on que, one of the shades flies over towards Tanyu and starts investigating to see if he's a threat or whatnot. It floats all around him and gets up in his face*
Tanyu: "Buzz off"
*Swats it to the side*

*Nodding to Tanyu's apparent conclusion, Sho promptly albeit slowly removes his naginata from the shade that absorbed the impact. It felt rather surreal to the warrior monk...when he pierced the shade, he felt no landing on the blow. But as he pulled back, the shade's body appeared to stick to the blade, stretching out until 'it' ripped. Wisps of green mist flew about from the end of the blade and dissolved as he shouldered it.*
Sho: "ahem, to answer your question Tass...yes, from what we can tell...we...er...Katt, took care of the situation; Alas it wasn't even all that dramatic. You guys seemed to have more of the action...Anyway, with that in mind, I may not exactly be a part of your merry crew; but I think we've overstayed our welcome here no? fresh air anyone?"
Tass...his power...I wonder what a duel with him could be like...

Tanyu: "And strangely, any monsters that were still around dissappeared accordingly, even the ones in the woods. And now the sun is out and shining... *yawn* what strange place." *Pulls out yet another spare drinking gord and starts making his way back out* Tanyu: "Almost as if it were a 'game' or something..." *drinks*

*The minutes tick by as the gruop reforms outside. eventually, the whole group is back together again, and all eager to talk about their fair share of the action. Katt begins the story time with what was accomplished inside, from her POV.*
"and as it turned out, it all ran on magitechnology. its a strange thing to see way out here in the east, especially since ive only heard of it existing in the way north. this guy must have been a fanatic, becuase the whole place was geared. i grabbed a bunch of his notebooks and stuff for Will, as well as a couple batteries and crystals and whatnot. what's become of him anyway?"
((ahemahem, time to start spilling out excuses will, lol))

*As Katt explained the tale that happened within the observatory, Sho hang around with the group and cleaned off his naginata with his headband tails. He chuckled when she noted the contents of the room*

*While talking with the group about the recent events, he also kept an eye on his shades. They were spread around the circle of Tanyu, Katt, Sho, and himself, darting iback and forth, almost frenzied in their search for potential danger and threats*
"Yeah, but at least traps don't actively attack you. They have to be activated, unlike most creatures I can think of. Namely, thunder dragons."

"wow, i knew i heard something big, but i had no idea it was a dragon. seeing as you all still standing here, im guessing you took it down? thats a pretty big feat. Did you get any of the scales? they hold a high price on the market these days... but then again, that's in the west... where dragons hardly exist anymore.. but i digress. sounds like you guys have been having alot of fun."
